In past years I have measured 2" in my yard and a neighbor 1/2 mile away with only a hill separating us got 1/2" and another time he got ~2 1/2" and I got zero. I've watched it pour on one side of a paved road and not a drop on the other side at least a dozen times. Rain happens where it happens. But again they show me at 2.55" and my measure is only about 1.7", so ... I'm at about 6.8 since Wednesday, I think. and still no runoff here, although there is some some where in NWA because L.Sugar is mildly flooded at 820 CFS after peaking at 1090 CFS about 4AM. Elk R still on the rise at only ~465 CFS.
gotmuddy Posted November 5 Posted November 5 its crazy out. Both norfork and Bull shoals have gone up over 7ft in 24hr. one week ago south fork of the spring river by my house was at 40cfs, currently its at 20,000! Here is the Rileys river cam: https://www.ipcamlive.com/rorc snagged in outlet 3 1 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
jdmidwest Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It is almost 2017 again over here, west of Highway 67. It peters out to a sprinkle and I ended up with 3" on the farm and only a slight rise in the creek of about 2 ft. Most river gauges on the other side have come up 15 to 16 feet. Montauk was at 13.4 this morning, now reads 999999999999999. So does Akers on the Current River. It was a freak rain that hung out in a line.
