And the Oscar goes to....
Patrick Mahomes!

That fake hit out of bounds was pretty convincing!

He must have watched a few NBA videos on how to draw a foul.  I give him credit on drawing that penalty when he slid at the last second when those 2 players were converging on him.  That's skill.

Do the Texans know that there's this guy named Kelce that can catch passes?  Man that dude can get open.

It's not speed or agility. He just kinda glides around out there and almost lulls the defenders to sleep. Catches the ball and lumbers down the field.

I thought his touchdown ball-drop non-celebration was pretty fun.

Speaking of TD celebrations - The one where LaPorta caught a TD for the Lions, he laid on the ground with his arms crossed over his chest like he was dead, a couple of his teammates mimed digging a grave, then rolled the 'dead' LaPorta into the grave.  There's some irony there I think, considering that the Lions went on to lose the game.

That was an amazing catch that he made, but yeah, his team got smoked.

Love my chiefs, but watching them this year is painful. I have to admit, both of those roughing the passer calls against Texas was bogus. Although the refs were friendly to us, no team out there is probably going to win when the QB gets sacked 8 times. I thought all the games this weekend were pretty good. The snow games just came down to who could play better in the slop.

Eh, the second one was bogus for sure. The first one shouldn't have been a surprise to anybody though, at least in today's era. The NFL has seemed to make it pretty clear that if the QB does not have the ball in his hands, you cannot go helmet to helmet. Not saying I totally agree with all the QB protection, but I feel we have been seeing these calls consistently the past 5 years or so.

The call where the 2 defenders collided over Mahomes... the ref called it from his vantage point.  He saw and heard helmets collide although he couldn't have seen the actual collision.  You don't call it if you don't see it?  He did anyway.  The defenders did lead with their helmets though.  I'm sure that has something to do with his call too.  The camera had a better vantage point.

I was rooting for the Ravens....  I think the chiefs will have a harder time with the Bills.
