Maverickpro201 Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I am trying to find a really good paint and sealer type paint for the bottom of a john boat. I have a couple of rivets that are leaking and the bottom of the boat really could use a fresh painting. Also anyone know what the prep is before painting? Thanks
snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I used Wetlander on the bottom of mine. Lots of reviews online about it. grizwilson 1

gotmuddy Posted November 17 Posted November 17 wetlander or any of those good epoxy paints are great. I used steelflex with teflon. it works great like the others, and seals up leaky rivets too snagged in outlet 3 1 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
fishinwrench Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Here is what I've settled on. No complaints. And better yet.....No zinc-oxide primer required. As with all painting projects PREPARING THE SURFACE is most important......and preparing the surface around the edges of rivets is a chore ! Alcohol & a scrub brush. snagged in outlet 3 1
