I am trying to find a really good paint and sealer type paint for the bottom of a john boat. I have a couple of rivets that are leaking and the bottom of the boat really could use a fresh painting. Also anyone know what the prep is before painting?

Thanks

wetlander or any of those good epoxy paints are great.  I used steelflex with teflon. it works great like the others, and seals up leaky rivets too

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Here is what I've settled on.   No complaints.  And better yet.....No zinc-oxide primer required.

As with all painting projects PREPARING THE SURFACE is most important......and preparing the surface around the edges of rivets is a chore !    Alcohol & a scrub brush.
