Members slabseeker Posted Tuesday at 01:56 PM Members Posted Tuesday at 01:56 PM I have to admit deer season opening weekend is my favorite weekend to go fishing. Went fishing on Wapp, in addition to the nice temperatures probably didn't see four other boats on the water, none close to us. Far cry from the parking lot being almost full when we get there and boats surrounding us or running up and down the lake all day. Lloyd and Quillback 2

I did not see any boats either a few miles north of you on the farm hunting deer.. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Good point. I would have no problem sitting out on the farm if there were no boats. I did see a nice buck following a couple of does along the bank.

Those few boats are taking advantage of the dry spell and deer attracted to the waters. My creek bottom is where the action is, woods are bone dry.
