I would lean more towards the 14" mark for a 1.5# spot. The healthy spots have plenty of weight for their body length. The FFS period will probably produce more spots 15 inches or larger because they can see what their throwing at.

About 10 of the MLF guys launched at Mill Creek this morning. The windy conditions probably affected their game plan. The guys I seen near me were checking the banks up shallow then they would move out in the cove for a while. I thought they would idle around with the big motor but they wanted to see what FFS would show them.

So many species are using the water column, so I think they preferred using FFS instead of sidescan.

Some of the guys will write-off areas that showed nothing today..... but over the weekend were loaded with shad.

I thought it was best.... not to mention any names.

Assuming they can weigh bass weighing at least 1.5#, I weighed a few this morning.

13.25" was 1.30#

14.50" was 1.73#

15.75" was 2.30#

So two short 14.50" K's can equal a 3.50# LM

I agree the spots will light up the board and this lake is popping. I'm put my guess on Drew Gill and Spencer Shuffield will be the main players. Would like to Roger get in the mix, but like Mr. Bill said these boys are going to stay on them.

Yesterday Ken saw DC between Baxter and Campbell Point. Main lake.

Today Ehrler and Neil were looking for bedding fish up the White.

Saw Strader fishing bluffs. No one going down the Small Jaw banks today it was totally our lake.
Only other rig at our ramp was Olliverson.

Between CP and KC, if you even get near touching the bottom you bring back a slime ball.

Might be totally off base but anyone doing anything outside a suspending/ swimming bait in that area is not going to like it.

Have not seen a K since Steven and I lucked on that big school. They’re not on the flat gravel Smally banks at any depth yet.

Im thinking staging in the deeper timbered pockets and bluff ends out in front.

Small Jaw bite is just to good to look for them.

At a 2 pound average and we blew that away this morning, Ken and I had 40 plus pounds in 4 hours.  Much more really

We pretty much suck, so I’m thinking there will be some 50# plus periods with the jaw bite, and  if they find those staging K’s, Katy Bar the Door as you will get rich in a big hurry.

Ya, I saw that also Jeff. Rules say 1.8 oz. But all the Pro’s are saying 2 pounds.

Most of their derbies this year have been 1.8 or in lay terms a pound and a half.

They’re going to bust the 2 pounders so it won’t matter.

Really if they just stay on the flat gravel swimming a small swimbait they can probably catch 50 pounds of weighable jaws a day.

It would be interesting to see if you could just get on a 200 yard section of flat  gravel and not catch some.

Was going this morning but quite a bit of lightning here at SK. May go this afternoon.

Personally, I don't care if it is 1.5 or 2.  Maybe they have another copy of the rules somewhere that has it right?

Either way, they ought to whack them.

Mark Danials just said in his Vlog, it’s 2 pounds and said they are going to wack em.

Connell said score tracker is going to go off like a machine gun.

Rains over I think I’ll sneak out for a while. Might try some run off but I’ll be right back on those jaws after 15 minutes without a bite😁😁
