Had a great trip.  Stayed at cabins on Stockton lake which met our needs very well.

Yes! Was hoping you would post a pic of the champion fish from the weekend. 

Public hunting grounds with no pressure?  They get plenty of pressure.  What kind of hunting around there are you wanting to do?  Give me a PM and I will answer your questions if you have some. I hunt for several things around the lake. 

 I just bought a boat after not having one for 18 years.  Hope to get my first trip back to Stockton fishing soon.  (Been in Milwaukee on business for 17 days.)

Pressure is relative I guess. I live in the KC area where your likely to see more hunters than deer on any public ground within an hour. I imagine you could bow hunt around the lake and get access to some good habitat diversity, particularly if you use the boat for access. 

Corps land around the lake gets PLENTY of pressure, unfortunately. That's not to say  if you put in the time and do your homework you still couldn't have some nice hunting trips around the area, because you most certainly can. Good luck!
