Members ICI Posted September 8, 2017 Members Posted September 8, 2017 So Monday while bass fishing i hooked my first muskie, maybe 30 inches, and it cut my line at the bank. Lost my favorite popper. Then the very next morning i hooked my second ever, and my first to land. 43" Was a blast! Was scared the whole time it would cut my 15lb fluro leader but it worked out. Bass Yakker, snagged in outlet 3, MoCarp and 16 others 19

bfishn Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 I just knew when you said you'd caught your second that it was gonna have your favorite popper attached.. :-) I can't dance like I used to.
Stein Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Nice! Headed to Canada next Wednesday for 10 days to chase toothy critters.
Members ICI Posted September 8, 2017 Author Members Posted September 8, 2017 Oh man, i wish... I did replace it a couple days later though.
Members Bill Y. Posted September 9, 2017 Members Posted September 9, 2017 Still too warm to be fishing for muskies.... A muskie should only be kept out of the water for as long as you can hold your breath. Any longer on these warm days will kill the muskie. It may swim away, but could die hours or days later.
fishinwrench Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 How can something so onery and mean be as delicate as tissue paper? If only the Crappie knew what pussies they were. terryj1024, trythisonemv and Royal Blue 1 2

If only the Crappie knew what pussies they were. They are not native to this area and the water temps here are much higher than their home waters. That's why they're so fragile this time of year. -Austin
fishinwrench Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 If I'm gonna chase Muskie then I wanna chase them where they are at their best, not somewhere they are barely surviving and a few dipshit biologists decided to throw them in there anyway. That's just me though. 😁 RangerR82 and snagged in outlet 3 2
