Lets talk bass fishing on Taney

Were taking our guys to Taney for some trout fishing this weekend, but after 3 years of drifting powerbait I want a new challenge. I black bass fish a lot, and were taking my 20' Stratos, so I can get almost everywhere on the lake.  I bought some big trout glide baits just for this lake, but what else are you guys liking for black bass right now?

I've been catching a lot of smallmouth, a few spots, and every now and then a black, along with a lot of these on Taney throwing megabass 110+1's

Stinkin's Bass...

Buzz baits seem to be a favorite on the lower lake.  Around docks.

Jerk Baits huh?  Ill have to go dig them out of the basement.  Any particular color/cadence that seems to be more effective than another?

I've been throwing Ozark shad, starting off popping fast and slowing it down as it gets further from the bank. I've been fishing them up in the trophy area when 3 or more units are running.

I have the most success on square bill crank baits, LC Gunfish topwater and a buzz bait around the weeds on the lower end.  Also do pretty well on a baby brush hog texas rigged pitching into the weeks and docks.  When the fishing gets tough, I tie a Ned Rig on a 1/16 oz mushroom jig head and fish the steeper rock banks.  I fish from Rockaway Beach down to the dam.  Hope this helps.
