  1. My worst day of fishing is much better than any day at work!!
  2. My weather report doesn't show any rain until Friday.
  3. I think you guys are missing the boat! There are times when the spoon is UNBELIEVABLE! There are lots of folks that are old school and resistant to change. The dropshot and spoon are two good examples. I'm Like Babler, give me a better mouse trap and I will use it! Remember this, if old Charlie Davis can win a boat on the Bull using a spoon, it ain't all bad.
  4. Main Lake gravel points dropshot 10 to 25 ft of water. Just use your electronics to find them and fish them slow. Best bite for me is right on the bottom. The best bite for me is early. I fish from 6 to 9 A.M. almost every day. Most days the worm will out fish the spoon as of late. The good news is that there is also some topwater at this time of day.
  5. Thanks for the report! Amazing that you could catch that many on a Sunday! What hours did you fish? It's a shame about your trailer! People are just so careless these days and than don't have the decency to offer to pay to have it fixed. It's not any different than hitting a car in a parking lot. Man up and leave a note!!!
  6. Not that I'm in the market for a new Ranger.......................I did hear about a dealer over in Kentucky that was wheeling and dealing. I believe a guy bought a 521 for 56 grand. He saved a ton by driving to Kentucky to pick it up. It's hard to support the locals with that kind of savings.
  7. I heard that it came from the Russians!
  8. I could hire Babler once a week for the rest of my life! I think I might just have to keep my 2000 Ranger.
  9. For that kind of money they better guarantee a limit every trip!
  10. That's a good day...............just shows you you don't need 250 ponies and 50 gallons of gas to catch some nice fish. Thanks for sharing!
  11. I see the Rock is #15 in the central division of the top 100 best bass lakes. Bass also claims that 75% of the bass population are largemouth based on state biologist 2016 electroshocking survey. I wonder what part of the lake they were in?????
  12. Now that's the way to start a weekend! Great job! Thanks for sharing.
  13. Great trip! Your boy is a hand!! I think your shorts had something to do with the fish that you caught. Maybe they just needed a closer look. Congrats on a GREAT trip.
  14. AMEN! There are some fine folks in this neck of the woods. Unfortunately the 5-10 percent that are idiots get most of the attention these days.
  15. Great report! That is some good fishing! Thanks for sharing!
  16. My vote is green braid with a fluorocarbon leader and the clearer the water is the lighter fluorocarbon.
  17. I love braid! I currently have it on all my reels. I use 10-20 lb on spinning reels and 20-40 lb on baitcasters. I tie direct on tw,sb, and most lures that don't come in contact with the bottom. Braid has sooo many advantages over mono or fluorocarbon (feel, durability, distance, no memory, ect.). I do use a fluorocarbon leader on jigs, dropshot or any bait that will contact the bottom. Braid's only downfall is that it will get nicked on rocks. I use 6-8 lb on dropshot, 10-14 on jigs and 17-20 flipping. I use green braid, but think it's a matter of preference. If you're a line watcher yellow might be a better choice.
  18. Bo, You're supposed to let your wife catch the biguns! Haven't you been reading my post? Especially after knee replacement! How is she doing?
  19. I haven't seen anything on the videos that would make me spend that kind of money on a lure. I think a buzzbait with a horney toad is just as good.
  20. My wife is not normally a early morning person. I tell her the bite is much better in the early A.M. and she goes out and catches a 4 lber at 12 noon. Go figure!
  21. She will love you for calling her smaller............................no matter what or how.
  22. Yes she does know how to hold a fish!
  23. Mama's on a roll 12 noon 28 foot of water wobble head with a beaver. Go figure.
  24. Very nice Mr. Scott!! Mr. Bill will never steer you wrong.
