I did eventually complete my tasks today and spend a little time on the water. I probably Trout fished for two hours. I got 27 to hand and had lots of other opportunities. I caught fish on 1/33 oz, 1/16 oz, and 1/8 oz jigs. I wasn’t really thrilled with the size, but I did catch a few nice ones and l lost one really heavy fish that didn’t seem to even be upset he was hooked. Honestly, my beds guess would be that I foul hooked a large sucker. I had it on for a fairly long time and never got a look at it. Water was perfectly clear and not trashy at all. Water was falling out as I fished which I am told is suboptimal, but it hasn’t ever hurt too bad.

I’ve got son in law duty tomorrow morning, but I’ll try to check out the water tomorrow

Get that gentleman’s phone number so you can text him an empty location to bed down. It would be nice if he didn’t wake up half the house looking for an empty slot.

You might not like my answer, but it is truthful and accurate. There is Good fishing and floating all up and down the river. I would concentrate my search on areas that have the easiest routes to town or a highway. Also look for proximity to the various boat ramps. FWIW, We have a home over looking the White River near Cotter.

I have only used the 7 footers. I think they are the best bang for your buck Zig Jig rod. I have fishing buddies that do just as well with the 6’6” model. I'm sure the St Croix is nice, but I’ve caught 1000’s of fish on the Air Stream. I have 2 more new in plastic waiting for another accident to occur.

Good for Browns maybe, but in General I like moderate flows and sunny weather.

Kstoll, If it were as easy as picking up acorns, it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun. There are Lots of fishing opportunies in this area. You’ll have fun learning how you enjoy catching them.

I saw 58 main lake at Lead Hill / /Diamond City a little cooler back in the creeks. I couldn’t buy a fish back in the creeks. We could get a few on Ned on steeper areas main lake.
