  1. I have a tent I call "drought buster". It gets rained on every time I set it up,
  2. Nice spot on a Fluke
  3. 16 1/2
  4. Had stuff to take care of in the morning. I headed to the lake after noon. Didn't really get fishing until 2 pm. started in a smallish main lake pocket hoping to avoid a little wind and fibs some Brown fish. I found a few fish, but didn't avoid the wind much. Ran into Shoal. Started in a little pocket. I caught three nice smallies on three casts and thought I had arrived. Nada after that. Relocated, caught a few more nice fish, but btw the wind and gaps btw fish it felt like a grind at times. Tried some wind blown (where wasn't) points with a grub. No smallies but a couple LMB. Time is flying and I'm having to junk fish to catch one here and one there. Ran further back into Shoal and got some shade line help. Caught em much better in there. Missed a good thump on Ned. Folllowed up with a Bobby Garland and confirmed my suspicion. Keeper crappie. Ned was working, but I was feeling a fluke bite. It was on. I caught one almost immediately. Several bluff bites where the fish runs it but doesn't eat. I had a real nice LMB lose her mind over it, but she got lucky and avoided being posterized. If I had 10 hours of that fluke bite, I might quit my day job and find a way to make just enough money with odd jobs to keep gas in the BassCat. 32 fish in 6 hours. Ned, swim bait, crappie Jig, 4 inch grub, Plopper, and fluke all got bit. Water temp 65 degrees main lake and I saw 71 in some pockets. Water was very clear main lake, pretty clear in Shoal, and some areas had stain from wave action.
  5. Let's Go Leafs!
  6. Pretty solid report. Thank You
  7. Leafs doing everyone a solid.
  8. I never would have thought Chicago would be down 3-0
  9. So we moved and I upgraded the TV to a Samsung UN50KU6300 LED UHD 4K. It's been a while since I've been anywhere near current TV tech. The games are freaking beautiful.
  10. I really like oil filled hubs. I'm sure there is a reason that the industry hasn't adopted them, but very functional and very easy and inexpensive to maintain.
  11. It's a really nice lake. I think we used 25 gallons of gas in 5 days fishing. Big enough lake to stretch your legs, but not so big that you are running miles and miles btw fishing spots
  12. What are you planning on using a trailer?
  13. Oilers vs Penguins would be a Great Finals
  14. Blues got it done. Wild had a great season , but they're done. Habs seem in control all the sudden. preds putting the hawks in a Big hole. I hope the press can choke them out. My Leafs should have the Caps full attention now. I'd love to see the Leags win a round im liking the Pens chances against Caps Oilers are for real. This might not be their year, but look out next year.
  15. It's interesting that we caught well over 100 big White Bass and I have zero pictures of a White Bass
  16. My one tube fish. SMH.
  17. We caught a lot more LMB this time around. Cajunangler caught a bunch this size.
  18. I'm gonna ruffle some feathers, but several times a got a tick on my Baby Shad and was disappointed when it turned out to be a smallie. Again.
  19. Crappie are fun. 14 1/2 inches
  20. Actually weighed this one 3 lb 7 oz
  21. Got home last night from this year's spring fling at Tenkiller. It is only my wanderlust that takes me away from my beloved Bull Shoals, but I could be equally Happy fishing at Tenkiller full time. I will spare you the neurotic details and cut to the chase. We whacked em. A lot of size. A lot of species. And just a lot of fish. BUT it was lots more difficult than the previous two years experience. The lake being 5 feet low didn't help my feelings much, but didn't really hurt us and showed me some gravel areas to remember. what "messed" us up was that fish were in later stages of spawn if not post spawn AND we had lots of sunshine. At times, it was a grind. I start pressing because I'm not catching them fast enough. The question is always am I using the best technique for the conditions I'm facing. I'm seldom satisfied with how fast the buried are coming. we caught a lot more LMB this time around and a lot less Spotted Bass. White Bass are everywhere in the lake and varied btw being a pleasant distraction and an antidepressant. Friday we fished bass for a few hours and then caught crappie for the table. Although, it seemed like we caught almost as many smallies while trying to crappie fish. I'm hoping my hands heal from the fins, hooks, and teeth rub marks. I've Got a crap ton of gear to straighten out. Need to pull it together quickly. BSL is on fire. Work first, play later.

I tried Sucker fishing with worms in the White River. The suckers never get a chance to get near the worm. Im not sure why more ppl don't use them
  23. I need to sell some rods a lot more than I need to buy them. But I imagine when I get our forner residence sold, I will buy some gear.
