  1. Actually weighed this one 3 lb 7 oz
  2. Got home last night from this year's spring fling at Tenkiller. It is only my wanderlust that takes me away from my beloved Bull Shoals, but I could be equally Happy fishing at Tenkiller full time. I will spare you the neurotic details and cut to the chase. We whacked em. A lot of size. A lot of species. And just a lot of fish. BUT it was lots more difficult than the previous two years experience. The lake being 5 feet low didn't help my feelings much, but didn't really hurt us and showed me some gravel areas to remember. what "messed" us up was that fish were in later stages of spawn if not post spawn AND we had lots of sunshine. At times, it was a grind. I start pressing because I'm not catching them fast enough. The question is always am I using the best technique for the conditions I'm facing. I'm seldom satisfied with how fast the buried are coming. we caught a lot more LMB this time around and a lot less Spotted Bass. White Bass are everywhere in the lake and varied btw being a pleasant distraction and an antidepressant. Friday we fished bass for a few hours and then caught crappie for the table. Although, it seemed like we caught almost as many smallies while trying to crappie fish. I'm hoping my hands heal from the fins, hooks, and teeth rub marks. I've Got a crap ton of gear to straighten out. Need to pull it together quickly. BSL is on fire. Work first, play later.

    Worms

I tried Sucker fishing with worms in the White River. The suckers never get a chance to get near the worm. Im not sure why more ppl don't use them
  4. I need to sell some rods a lot more than I need to buy them. But I imagine when I get our forner residence sold, I will buy some gear.
  5. Fish through the Spot Removers and then try some other designs.
  6. The wind blew yesterday?
  7. These days, 6'6" to 6'8". In my Louisiana days, I would have said 6'. Need longer casts here, but sometimes I'd like more accuracy than is easy with a 7 footer. i also used to think 1/2 oz was a heavy SB, but you have to remember that down there 10 foot is DEEP water.
  8. Thousands of satisfied Falcon owners, but Dave ain't one of them. I could use a good spinnerbait rod.
  9. He's a Falcon Hater.
  10. I've never had a chartreuse over orange biscuit before.
  11. I'll take a look at the FG. It's maybe 80/20 on the Alberto. When I pull on a snag, 8 out of 10 times I lose everything. I never break the Alberto knot on fish though.
  12. How different is Albright from the Alberto?
  13. Run down lake. It should be stupid good everywhere. Noe. Sister. Oakland areas. Stuff back towards Big Creek.
  14. I use the Alberto. Uni to uni works fine but it is a bulkier knot. a surgeons knot with three wraps instead of two seems to work pretty well but it isn't quite as good as Alberto IMO
  15. Plastic worm has. He reps for Jackson and has shot a video in it
  16. Nonsense
  17. @Ham66 You're on Twitter SuperDave?
  18. They always do.
  19. If loving Nanofil is wrong, I don't want to be right.
  20. Check and see if Miles at Riley's Buffalo Station can hook you up with a guide. He's right in that area.
  21. The Okuma l have is a "L" 7 footish (may be a 6'10") C3-40X. Discontinued I had a Fenwick Bronzeback ML 6'10" that I loved for Ned. I Loaned it to a kid that brought crap gear to fish with me in the BassCat and he managed to break it. ? Super Dave's std advice is dead on. Rods labeled dropshot are a good place to start.
  22. I often set the hook way too hard, but I have never set the hook as hard as Dave does with almost every hook set. Its crazy, but you can't argue with his success rate.
  23. Any chance that you are using banjo technique to free snagged lures? Fluor doesn't like that. Backlash very much? Fluro hates that too. I don't like micro guides much at all. They may be part of it or maybe not
