  1. I don’t believe that it is, but not 100% on that.
  2. Boy, that 35-60 FOW doesn’t look like a fun place for fish to hang out
  3. Cypress swamps need Gators. Just sayin.
  4. I go when I can. I grew up trying to fish low pressure. My Dad would drag me along when Tropical Storms were roiling in. Think weak Hurricane because the barometric pressure was super low. These days I tend to agree that low fishing pressure is more important than low barometric pressure.
  5. I wish you guys could have been there too. I’m still Super Happy I was Finally able to catch all 4 (err 5) trout Species available . I made some intuitive decisions that paid off. It’s Great when it works out. Please understand a 10 inch Baby Brown would have been fine by me, but a 22 inch hook jawed male was closing out the cycle in style. I swear I intended to quit fishing after the Brown, but during the long run back to the ramp, I changed my mind. I had to make one final drift. Just one more. I changed to a smaller jig and caught 9 more trout in the slower flows tight to the bank. I did stay true to my promise to myself to quit after that last drift. It was close though.
  6. More access is always a double edge sword.
  7. I’ll be your Huckleberry. I have a fair number of rods to pick and choose from St Croix Avids, G Loomis, Fenwick. I might have something you are willing to trade for. PM me a phone number. Might be easier to explain over the phone.
  8. Me and Wally are Blood Brothers
  9. Yes Sir, but if you remember I got the “Ham Slam” that day with Bow, Brook, Cutt, and Walleye. I have also gotten Bow, Brown, Cutt, Crappie, and Largemouth on Norfork
  10. Wasn’t me today. I was at Wildcat thumping Rainbows in skinny water. Most takes were visual. I wish I would have brought fly rods honestly. I hoped to get another slam on the Norfork today, but they didn’t run water on schedule
  11. Been There done that, but usually only have 3 only have Browns, Bows, and Cutts when I get the Smallie or walleye as the fourth
  12. I know I caught Bonnevillie Cutthroat before on the Norfork, but Davy Wotton said Themis is a Yellowstone Cutt?
  13. OA has been limiting my photo uploads pretty hard.
  14. I had Big plans for fishing this weekend BEFORE the rains started. The more it rained, the less viable options I had. I chose to go up river and fish below the dam on Bull Shoals. I ended up choosing the Marion County ramp and had to scramble to find parking. I guess it was a popular idea. It was still drizzling as I started. Water flow had been reduced and continued to pull slowed as I fished. Cloudy and cool. I felt like Browns were going to be chewing. I started out catching Big, Fat Rainbows. Which is not surprising in a Total Catch and Release area. My third fish was a Brook trout which was surprising. They don’t stock many and I thought that it is usually in October. I immediately thought maybe I could get a White River Grand Slam. I continued to make runs up towards the dam stopping well below the No Fly Zone. Some guys from TN and MO ran almost to the dam face. Clearly fishing illegally. I would flow right edge, Center, and left edge. I lost a really Beautiful Brook trout trying to net it, but I kept catching the little guys. I ended up catching 10 of them! Then I got a Cutthroat trout. I was really hopeful, but I have had three of the four many times. I felt like I could just trust the process. Keep slinging the Zig Jig and one would eat eventually...right? Except all I could catch was Bows, Brookies, and Cutts. Starting to press a bit and growing concerned about my 1/4 of fuel remaining in the tank, I opted to drift down through the State Park. I fished hard with minimal results. I had a stretch of bank in mind. I got down there and about 1/3 of the way thru my drift I got the bite I was looking for. A Big angry Brown on a barbless jig in high current. Took a while, but I got the net under him. I was very Happy to catch what I needed for the Slam. Eric P can’t hold that over my head anymore. Ham got his Slam. A fair number of Rainbows, 10 Brookies, 2 types of Cutthroat, and a 22 plus inch Brown Trout. I did see a Creamsicle Trout, but that paranoid sucker would not bite.
  15. They are Right Bite tubes. Gary Jeffrey is the owner of Right Bite Lures. If you wanted to you can google that and order direct. Pretty sure you can buy them in 10, 50 and 100 packs.
  16. Dang! I’ll look for the story
  17. Did ya hear that John? Sculpin live up there! We gotta go.
  18. They eat Zig Jigs there. Real regular. Swing by a local fly shop and buy a few of what they suggest. Usually Norfork fish get more pressure so it seems like they want stuff smaller than White River fish. Kids under 16 NEED to fish Dry Run Creek
  19. Oh, it’s coming
  20. I do ok
