I have fished a lot of days where I didn't have 14 fish. Weather was iffy. You made the most of it. Doesn't sound like a bad day to me.

Man, you must be the Bernie Sanders of bass fishing. You want all your baits to get an equal chance to catch a fish. Good Deal on the where's waldo fishing trip. You made a bad call, but you had the sense to quickly call BS on it and re-re-locate.

Bowfin. "Calva amia" That's not a very large one really. A buddy of mine caught an 18.8, but I wouldn't bet my life on the quality of the scale. Kinda tough on fishing tacjkle. the can really destroy a spinnerbait and roll over hook points when worm fishing. I'd love to catch another one.

Maybe mojo rig can chime in, but best I was able to determine only 20-35 % of our walleye are natural spawn in Bull Shoals. Plenty hatch, but Green Sunfish and Longear Sunfish feast on the just hatched fish because of the lack of vegetation for the fry to hide amongst. They do better on high water years, but without the stockings numbers of fish would plummet. I'm not sure if this is a better argument to release the fish you catch or keep them anyway. I do know that I'm more likely to release the accidental crappie than I am the accidental walleye. One walleye of 22 inches can feed my wife and I a delicious meal. One 12 inch crappie is a good start.

Well Heck, I think it was warmer than Omaha (P.Manning) and they caught fish. Mission accomplished.

They are easy to tie. I carry a lot of colors. Red, blue, purple, rusty. You can vary bead color as well.

Not really a value statement on my part. I don't sight fish trout and I have never thrown repeatedly at a trout trying to goad him into biting. Just saying that not everyone does that. you're a lowlife if you snag gamefish. I know that in Alaska lots of folks snag salmon. Maybe if I'm ever in that part of the world I'll see things their way and snag like a local, but I doubt it.

I'm not worried about the goals allowed by the Blues too much. Step up D and hope for good goal tending in the playoffs.

Pretty surprised with the Blues loss last night. Blues must win the First Round of the playoffs or clean house afterwards if they get beat. They've been good enough in the regular season that the fans expect more. My Pens have to play well down the stretch w/o Geno (no stranger to the BAD penalty himself) to get in the playoffs. I think they make it, but I'd be worried about making it into the playoffs if I was a Detroit fan. I hate the flyers so much and they have been red hot of late.

Take a look at how Europeans do their live bait sinker/bobber/hook setups. They as a group have spent a lot of time working out details. I've never fished your rig and I haven't seen it described locally, but there's not a lot new under the sun. I think I remember InFisherman doing an illustration of similar rigs. Keep playing with it. I think it can be really productive for you and I lool forward to hearing how you do with it

I don't like smallmouth being kept. I think it is a waste. Smallmouth are too much fun to be kept for food. I didn't call anyone names or pout in any way. I don't see my post as childish. I'm not sure if you're just painting with a broad brush, but I don't complain about people keeping other fish as long as they were legally caught and are within their legal limits. I believe in selective harvest. you can read other places what that means. Seems like an oxymoron to say find something more serious to be childish about. But just so I understand, It's childish to express an opinion about keeping big smallmouth, but manly to call names and complain about my complaining. Got it! Thanks for your help.

I think the fact that they're shoved the HuK gear down my throat is what makes me gag every time I see it. I hope never to own any HuK stuff. They can make their millions off others.
