Mega Bass 110+1’s, +2’s and a few DDSS
Smalliebigs replied to duckydoty's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
ever so true......best spawn bait ever really -
agreed......tourneys and a small stream are not good idea at all but, that's just my opinion. Wonder if the MDC will let me get a Trout only tourney on the Current river or the Niangua??? We would cull the smaller ones off the stringer and take good care of them hahahaha......sorry just trying to be the posterior I am
-
agreed but, I doubt they will catch that many who knows. If you are an outfitter you are about as dense as granite to promote such a thing and apparently the MDC approved the permit so it shows their concern as well...….friggin joke
-
eh it's no biggie hahahaha not trying to be a saint or anything. My young friend is so ate up with river fishing and messages me about 4 times a day about fishing in general and that makes me happy. He's a great kid and I have soo many boats and crap, I just thought he needs a starting point to become a boat ridden dork like me We still need to go fishing Daryk and bring your son
-
Well I just made a 23 year friend of mine VERY happy hahahaha..... his mom called me and asked what my motivation was hahahaha GEEZ I just really enjoy fishing with her son and he looks up to me so I figured wth We are gonna go float a special stream for his maiden voyage hahaha I will post pics
-
looks perfect too me 790cfs where???....790 at one spot is way different than another. I never really check water levels unless it's really high......one thing a great river fisherman told me at an MSA meeting once that has increased the amount of good fishing days for me was this. I only go out on the river when the river flow is steady and less than a foot of fluctuation up or down. Stick to going when it's a stable flow and you will catch fish
-
Well no interest here...….so I have a young protege' friend who I am just gonna give this whole set up to, he will appreciate and use the hell out of it
-
oh monkey dodo......if they have no identity on them I cut them every time screw'em
-
It’s all good screw it I’ll hide it in the woods behind my house, then my wife will shut up
-
Oh man that’s troubling to hear....I did well once then as you said not very great and then the last couple times have been frustrated by the amount of people out. I went on the Middle Meramec and was blown away at the amount of boat traffic WOW!!!

I am selling my Old Town 119 in Camo. It has minor scratches but, has tons of life left. I only used one season about 8 floats, then bought a Pack and have not used it since and it has been sitting in my garage and the boss says it must go. I modified the seat and removed the Old Town low seat and moved it forward 2.3 inches and replaced the seat with a nice cane bench. It comeS with this sitbacker camo seat. Local pick up in Kirkwood, MO or I guess I could meet you and do a float a bring this piece of plastic. I also have a very nice paddle that I would like to go with it but, it isn’t a must. $140 for the canoe and seat. The paddle we can talk about but, trust me I don’t buy cheap paddles hahaha let me know....$220 will get you the boat paddle and seat and you can throw this thing in ANYWHERE

Most scenic float stream in Missouri
Smalliebigs replied to Keiththom's topic in Conservation Issues
Sorry but, the Black river wouldn't even be close to my top 3 of scenic floats. The whole corridor has been altered and Ameren UE just about wiped the whole place out with the lake overflow/dam break. It is about as synthetic of a corridor as you can get at this point. 1)Jacks 2)Current 3) Buffalo 4) if you have the nads…… St Francios -
I totally get what Al is saying though way over estimated on weight for Smallies is a constant. The Big River is getting blown apart unfortunately, I guess because of Coronavirus and nobody works anymore but, it SUCKS

hahahaha kinda, we now have a place down there and I have been staying down here fishing the creeks and rivers down here and staying the hell away from St. Louis
-
yeah I have been looking for you......but, really just hiding in St Francios County. What's up with Evinrude???!!!! that just about floored me. We need to hook up brother!!!

I haven't used an outfitter in over 5 years and have only used one in like 10 or 12...….PLENTY of people would never want to be anywhere near where an outfitter services. Honestly if you can't use your own judgement on the water flow and just blindly rely on what some outfitter says you shouldn't be out there in the first place. People are responsible for their own actions, now if you are risking your kids safety because you can't seem to make a good judgement on the water well then you shouldn't be out on a river in a floating vessel either.

really??? where the hell did you read that??? Covid-19 is a virus from at bat, that mutated and was played with in labs. Not sure how the poachers in Asia are responsible for it being spread across the globe?? The whole story about it coming from wet markets there in Wuhan would have been from accidental transmission from some lab techs looking to buy a puppy to eat for lunch over at the market sounds a little more plausible.

going South??? do you have a place in the South???...I wish I did. For the record I made no political agenda based statements here that was all Coldwaterfisher. In my eyes all government entities SUCK whether they are left or right but, I laugh at people who pray to either side of the isle like a lemming. We just made a very important decision in my family's lives as we had my wife resign from her position as NP. It is not worth the risk as she is not being provided the PPE she needs to be safe. I really feel bad for my friends who have family members working in the ICU at SLU and BJC taking care of infected people who will make them sick. We have saved money over the last 10 years and have bought a few pieces of property out in areas I feel more comfortable. We have just broke ground on a site in St. Francois County on a lake and will be finally selling our house here in St.Louis County. As far as lumping me in with Mitch F in a right wing soup bowl, that's fine as Mitch is my long time friend who I agree with on a lot of subjects. We have had our differences but, in the end always have each others backs. Blaming Trump for old people not treating this seriously is pretty ~~ stupid on many levels of which I won't go into. Blaming any president for any life situation you find yourself in is asinine and shows yourself as helpless to your surroundings. My wife and I are gonna take a break for a bit from the rat race and work on each other and our family unit. We were lucky and frugal to be able to save enough money to be able to do this, she will get back into a practice somewhere out in the sticks and provide great healthcare to some rural folks. I will be jobless and looking to get into something that intrigues me but, I am still looking for that task. To all the OAF crowd please wash yer hands constantly and keep your hard surfaces clean and you should be good to go. I am taking a break from most social media outlets and will be tuning out, if you have my number consider yourself a friend and call anytime you like to go fishing in my new jet :). I always liked the OAF forum and enjoyed the differences in everyone, good and bad...…..you guys take care of yourselves and your families and continue to take care of the wonderful rivers, streams and their corridors of our state, you guys ROCK in that sense. SEEya

hmmmm that's not what i'm hearing from people in the hospitals like my wife and friends who work in ICU's here in St.Louis. This crap is contagious as hell and remains alive on hard surfaces for longer than most would think. I know Three cops with bad cases and a few docs with bad cases and a few nurses with really bad cases. Did you know you usually end up with permanent lung damage if you end up on a ventilator a lot of times?? I wouldn't want this crap. On the flip side we have to get businesses going again or we're done for.

man it's everywhere.....Jim Edmonds got it and that dude is in very good shape as he worked out at my gym even has all his meals prepared by this organic chef company. Traveling and touching things and then touching your face is how most of you will get it. We have friends on a ventilator down at SLU who was the head of ICU there, also my wife has two nurse friends who have it pretty bad and another doc she used to work with at BJC has a very bad case and he is 44. Wash your hand constantly and don't touch your face. be safe no joke at all...….my fear is people in rural areas think this isn't out there and let their guard down with the hygiene and wham is on you quick and then yer spreading...….it's out in the rural areas......don't kid yourself

yep they are the hardest fish to pattern on I have ever chased.....at first it frustrated me to no end but, now that's they're allure for me. They just keep swimming hahahah they are not the easiest fish to catch consistently no doubt.
