  1. I have no clue if LOZ has threadfin shad or not,,but dang it now I want a photo to prove it. Or perhaps we can simply start a movement that dividing shad into 2 different species is hurtful to the shad. Why categorize them, simply let them be whatever they want to identify with at the time. Stop dividing them, just let them be shad.
  2. Ts starting to dribble back in, but gets snatched up as soon as it hits a shelf.
  3. Don't over think it, if it works for you or like it go fishing with it. I have a St Croix 7 med that spooled with some new 8 lb suffix 832 seems to be a casting beast. Will truly find out in the coming weeks when I take it to stockton and see if I can cast it as far as I want. Of course for a couole of years I used a BPS MH 6'6" that had a few inches broken off the tip, bought it for a bit of nothing at the outlet store, took home a fair number of walleye with that oddball substandard rod.
  4. I thought about a lot of different work things, then completely ignored them and went to visit my kids, deliver a dresser to daughter, take them to lumch, and buy fishing gear. Lunch was much cheaper.
  5. The words free and woman don't belong together.
  6. Pomme is resisting the melting. Was expecting to see a hole out in the middle and then the sun and wind would work on it. Juse some edge thawing so far. 70 degrees today, -20 last Tuesday, yep it's Missouri.

    What's Cooking?

I gave you a sad face because I don't have a bowl in front of me. But wife will be making a fat boy supper, Biscuits and sausage gravy so I will recover.
  8. I thought I was wrong a couple times but I was wrong about being wrong.
  9. Personally I would pay the extra fee, if it meant that on a given day I got back to condo early I could putter off for a little quiet fishing, even if only for an hour or so. Probably the cheapest thing you will do on any given day.

    What's Cooking?

Not sure what it is called but I would eat a big bowl that.
  11. Pfizer and CDC say different. General Information: Vaccine: Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Diluent: 0.9% sodium chloride (normal saline, preservative-free) Vaccine MUST be mixed with diluent before administration. Multidose vial: Up to 6 doses per vial Dosage: 0.3 mL https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/pfizer/index.html
  12. Dang good thing folks haven't learned anything new about say boat motors etc. through expiramentation. And personally I do put a LOT of faith in the medical profession.
  13. If memory serves the vaccine has to be thawed and diluted to the proper mix, as it comes concentrated. Once thawed and mixed it's vibility is only a few hours. Of course the cold storage, mix rate etc is likely different for each one (Moderna or pfizer). You don't want to run away any folks in line to get shots if you have the vaccine there, so you make sure you have enough thawed and mixed to do them all. Some is gonna get tossed almost for sure. Almost assuredly the mass vaccination location is not gonna have the freezers on hand to keep the vaccine at -80 or whatever the requirement is, so they will be utilizing coolers and dry ice to extend the viability and time in "holding". That is part of the reason it is so tricky to have the correct amount on hand for a large event, and to utilize appointments to know how many to expect, along with the ones who just show up hoping to get a shot without an appointment. The short term viability after mixing is not unusual, when I got my "kill everything" chemo for my BMT it had a viability of 30 minutes after mixing, or they had to start over. I remember because I was nervous as a politician in front of a grand jury, and asked if I could go pee before they stuck the IV needle in, NOPE, but once we start we can roll everything down the hall and you can go.
  14. But the time is getting closer. Hopefully this year I will get to play too.
  15. The old 70 ford with positive lock rear end and a bit of wood it the back went places probably shouldn't have. About 10 MPG on a good day.
  16. When I was maybe 14 or 15 we had an old ford tractor and blade we cleared the driveway and road to highway with, grandma had a house in town and didn't drive nut like to walk up to the store and deliver groceries the the "old ladies" around so I was dispatched to her house to clear her driveway off for her. Should have taken maybe an hour. 4 hurs layer dad found Mr as I was finally headed back up the hill home. Where have you been son? Well on the way back people were standing outside waving nme down to clear their driveway, trying to pay me, most of which I could avoid but some shoved it in my lap and left me with it. Dad laughed and said, I forgot to tell you to take a different route back through town or that would happen. Helln it was one of the most fun afternoons I had in winter as a kid. Same thing would happen just not as bad when we would go down to plow her garden in spring.
  17. Since I have it I just use my tractor and blade. Couple hundred yards of driveway, then a quarter mile of pavement to where the city plows to. Which I can live with because I used to plow it all the way down to the highway. Was always able to get mom to the highway so she could work at the hosital ER, even if it meant one time being the first set of tracks on 13 hwy, thought I was a he of a tough 16 yr old kid, but was a nervous wreck by the time that was done. Trip back to pick her up was easy as the state had opened it up. That was the first 4WD we ever owned, 1980 F150 4 speed and manual lockout hubs.
  18. Saw an express fully loaded, even had a lI've scope on Facebook, will see if I can find it again. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/472441850799427/?_rdr
  19. I fished with Dutch many years ago for whites and he said the same thing, if you start picking up LM or crappie etc. Move. Sometimes when prospecting up the river you cover some non white producing water inhabited by other critters, worst of all is the occasional muskie, apparently they hate Mepps and rattle traps also.

    What's Cooking?

I have a knack for making things that look terrible but taste good. Got back from Dr visit, hmm what to make for supper, wife wasn't hungry so I find most of a rotisserie chicken in the fridge, see some rice on the shelf and so it began. Rice always fools me as to how much it makes.lots of chopped up chicken, some broth, several various spice mixes including cajun, and some cream of mushroom soup. Really needed some fresh green spinach in it or something green, but didn't have anything. Ugly, tasty and fortifying.
  21. That's the problem with fishing for white bass with them. Stinky ole largemouth can't leave them alone.
  22. I have several, sometimes they are white bass killers.
  23. When i was a kid I was too cheap to buy actual beetle spins, but could buy offset safety spin type spinners and put whatever crappie jig or curly tail yu found and hammer bass in ponds, and fish in the creeks. Dad was a die hard Mepps guy in the creek, but some days I could whoop him with the plain old spinners.
  24. Gonna get it anyway, thankfully so far it hasn't turned out to be as bad as was predicted early on. I didnt mean to imply snow was good, more of a "it's cold and snowy but at least the wind is blowing" sarcastic.comment.
  25. Basically all of the resorts that are adjacent to the COE Property have docks. Hickory Grove, Indian Hills, Nemo Bridge, Sunflower, Stillwater, Cooper Cove, etc. I think there are 10 of them, but for life of me I can't remember the others. All the resorts on Pomme are older, as such the proprietors know they have to provide great customer service to keep people coming back, and most do that well.
