May 4, 2020 Table Rock Lake Current Fishing Report
MOPanfisher replied to Bill Babler's topic in Table Rock Lake
Someday I'm going to splurge and come to the Rock strictly on a smallmouth fishing trip I love them things -
Having tried winch and chain host both, I like the chain hoist, no need to tie or secure the chain to keep it from coming down just let go. Again it is yours for the price of merely allowing me to drop it off.

Balance is tough with amount of painkillers right now. Walking stick for any excursion. I am unsure on PT,they wouldn't allow wife in room. I am sure they told my stoned self, but all.I can remember is don't move nothing for 2 or 3 weeks, seems like it had somerhing to do with rotator cuff being.good and wanting it to heal down? ? Wife will be making some follow up calls today when she gets home.from work.

Today will be quiet but guys yestrday, said it was nuts with people.

People with a truly spicy heritage have a much different outlook on spicy than guys like me, who think I like spicy until I get one of them little peppers that nearly kill me twice.👺

Oneshot I happen to habe a chain fall/lift i bought for lifting front of mower and raising up deer. That now just sits around, as I much prefer the tractor and loader. It is a cheap one, from Harbor Freight but yours if you want it. Might be a few days before I want to travel that far but I can bring it to you. Think it's 500lb capacity. I can get a buddy to go for a,ride with me.
-
Dude, I would have given them a try in the last couple days if it had been an option. If it would have helped I would have worn a Hillary for president body suit.
-
Hang in there Oneshot!

Looks absolutely delicious but I think my mouth was burning just looking at the picture

Not big on pics of me, but considering what all they did I thought that wasn't a real big gash. Maybe that will way it won't ruin my pretty looks. 🙂😃

Well my bad, shoulder has been replaced, from about mid humerus with new reverse parts. that 24 -36 HR period after the surgery was tough! Not quite as bad right now, moving around is a BAD choice. Nothing a few new parts can't make better

What part of my issue is,having tried and owned several different brands of shotguns over the years is that the 1100 and 1187 and one of the very few that seem to fit me, shooting where I am looking. I may well end up keeping my old 1187 other than being heavy it is certainly a soft shooter due to its with and system. Also during dive hunts I have moved further from Texas Heavy DI've type loads and more towards 7/8 loads. I used to load all my shotgun loads, and loved my 7/8 high speed loads they were killers. Now for the cost I just buy a box of whatever WM has on sale usually. Love the idea of another LT 20 gauge but hard to come with a good reason . If I find one in a pawn shop or somewhere at the right price well dealing might happen , otherwise I will heal up and then this summer send up a few soft test shots out of the old 1187 and see what the shoulder says. Gentlemen I thank you for ideas, thoughts etc. I should be back on line here soon.

Wow that was wandering thoughts. How about a little clearer. What are your thought and or reccomendations for a new/used Semi Auto .20 ga. Again probably not looking for a $1200 Benelli, as much as I would like that. My only experience was with the little Rem 1100 special which I should never have sold.
-
That was my original thoughts, I have shot that heavy old 1187 for so many years I am VERY comfortable with it and it is a stone cold killer. I owned an 100 special.field .20, shirt barrel and strainer stock for several years and was the fasted handling shotgun I ever handled. Kind of leaning that way again. I remember letting my wife shoot the .20 pump and th big 12 auto, no comparison the 12 semi was much easier to shoot. Just thinking put loud today. I lie the idea of a lighter weight ,20 ga semi, but haven't looked at them in a long time.
-
I like the way you think!

I have a reverse shoulder replacement abut to happen and an contemplating redesigning some of my shooting gear. Right now I am thinking downsizing my 12 ga shooting to 20 ga. Granted my 12 ga is a soft shooting 1187 and I don't shoot it much except for a small.amount of targets and dove season. Thinking either a short barrel 870 ex press as a general purpose shotgun or an even softer shooting semi auto. I am not gonna try to talk myself into a high dollarshotgun for something I will seldom use so even though I wod dearly live to have a citori OU it isn't gonna happen and not sure on oes like the CZ ou's, I do also have an 870 express I'm 20 I bought for my son with a 28 inch barrel and it just never scratched the itch, and doesn't seem to fit like others I have owned. So any good ideas, reccomendations etc. I don't turkey hunt or waterfowl hunt, and might pheasant someday again but it isn't a big consideration. So what thoughts? Keep the 1187 just because/just in case and look for a 20 that fits me and I like? Or ??

I will say in all honesty this time, that in the last few years I have gone away from regular skeeter repellent and bought some Lemon Eucalyptus stuff, it does seem to work for me and it smells good. I don't need it very often but like July 4th event at friends house I use it liberally and don't have any issues. My wife seems to like the thermacell things but I haven't used them. I do get weird about strange smells on me fishing so if I happen to use any while gong fishing I will either use a rubber glove to apply the lemon stuff or wash hands very very thoroughly afyerwards and before touching aNY of my fishing stuff, but I generally do that with sunblock too. Even to the point of scuubbing with a handfull of mud/sand/gravel from the shoreline wherever I launch. Especially if I had to stop.for fuel, no idea if it's a big deal or not but anymore it's just a ritual.

Checked the gauges, Pomme river took a bit of a jump but not bad and short lived, Lake started back up, but I expect outflows will go back up early today and get it turned back around.

Well of you do get it it think die hard fishermen are curing it by drinking or injecting themselves with either Hawg Sauce or the stuff they put on Gulp baits. Thats what I heard, Drs are amazed at the results and the Defense Production Act may be utilized to force all fishing tackle companies to make "Gulp Slime" or Hawg Sauce, other related cures are being sought such as Uncle Josh Pork Rind Liquid. 😷 Further tests are being directed toward Sonny's Catfish Bait and Bee Jay Baits, however many "health professionals" feel that any benefits from either of thoae is more related due its effectiveness in supporting social distancing. NOTE: I in todays world i feel obligated to point out that this post is merely an attempt at humor, had it been actually funny this disclaimer would not be necessary. !!

Not radiation but after the big chemo hit and daily chemo pill, ticks didn't want nothing to do with me, I used to get them all the time, they never made big itchy spots like they do my wife. Oddly with new stuff happening they stopped my daily chemo pill for a a couple weeks and have picked 3 or 4 that had decided to try me.

Wow, I am 15 miles north of Bolivar and had 2 inches Friday, and only 1/2 inch of rain tonight. Hopefully that rain you got isn't wide spread enough to really blow up the inflows. Again.
