  1. Depending on how and or for what I will somerimes sit down if in the back. Most usually I am leading against one of the butt seats up front as my balance still hasnt come all the way back.
  2. I am sort of glad with the new law, and sort of not. I too wish folks would get some training before they carry, but even with the permitting before the training was less about how to use your firearm than WHEN to use it. Which I agree is extremely important, the theory was that you had to show a minimum proficiency in order to pass the class. memory has holes in it but I think it was 20 practice shots and 20 "score" shots at 7 yards. The instructor I went through the class with was/is a retired MSHP Sgt. He spend a lot of time on the legalities of when you could legally draw or use a firearm. The training of how to become proficient was and still is up to the individual. There are a multitude of places around that a person can shoot for free, and likely with a little searching someone can find a "mentor" to help. The law obviously will have zero effect on those who carry illegally.
  3. It's tougher for crappie to eat on LOZ, they are always seasick from the wakes.
  4. Shhhhhhh, from now till deer season are NO crappie to be caught around docks on LOZ.
  5. So did you have to drain the fuel, or just put a siphon and suck the water off the bottom of the tank, or what did it take to fix it.
  6. If there is still a Coast Guard Auxiliary presence they might.
  7. Lol, still a fabulous day.

    What's Cooking?

It wasn't bad actually. In my mind I was seeing it served alongside a skillet of scrambled eggs on a creekbank with the coffee pot perking along too.

    What's Cooking?

Tonight's hillbilly supper. 6 Applewood and cheese smoked brats, rolled around in a hot skillet, 3 slices of diced up old bacon I found in the freezer. Sliced up 4 of the six brats, added them back to the skillet, deglazed the skillet with some room temp tap water that was in a glass by the sink, added the can of "instant jambalaya", poof supper is served. Now I am not going to tell you all that it is gonna be as good as RPS's mussels and soft shelled crab, or anyone's smoker product, but it probably closer to reality for most of us. There are a few small things most wouldn't things of, like using only 4 of the 6 brats, just in case it is terrible, you don't have to eat a raw hot dog for supper.
  10. Did you have lots of them nice dark, chunky smallies.
  11. Very nice sir.
  12. No clue if they were over limit or not, don't know how many of them there was fishing, but assuming the 3 of them, 2 in photo and one taking the photo, even with 3 it appears over limit in at least one photo. Sure hate to see the smallies on the table, honestly the LM don't bother me as much but then I am biased.
  13. I will see if I can remmer that long.
  14. Looks like our campsites for sure, but can't see enough to tell exactly where, Damsite Park I am thinking.
  15. I think they are available/on call for things like accidents or drownings. I am surprised they didn't have an officer on evenings though.

    What's Cooking?

I have looked at the soft she'll crab several times while working along the gulf Coast but couldnt bring myself to pay for 3 good steaks just to have one, but they did look good. Tonight's basic low brow but delicious supper was a ham steak on the grill, a skillet full of grated taters and onions. Along with a few over easy eggs. Just my elderly mother and I tonight so there is lots of left overs, fortunately my son is on his way home from school so I suspect he will handle the left overs for me. Put a slab of ham on the plate, a chunk of taters, pour picante sauce over the taters and plop an egg on top. It works for me.
  17. Nxs, when young and first attached the zebras are tiny black specks, smaller than a grain of rice. Dutch, that's a good looking glittersled.
  18. Sometimes I can't seem to keep them off my line. GRRRRRRRRR Ollie, that is a problem I could live with.

    What's Cooking?

What I like about crock pot pulled pork is the ability to put it in, along with spices etc., turn it on and the next day at church or whatever it is ready and tender, haven't had any complaints. Especially since my smoker gave up the ghost, either need to replace the gas regulator system on the smoker or replace the whole thing, probably with electric this time.
  21. I don't know if a distance could be proved on a gopro footage or not. suppose if it was silly close and they could easily show it was within the 100 feet maybe. The loss of the old WP guys left a big "knowledge hole" in the troopers ability to get to the best location to launch etc. And while they are spending time on the water I don't believe it is nearly as much time.

    What's Cooking?

I don't know if I have eaten and pressure cooker pork but have sure eaten a lot of it out of a crock pot. No its not the same as from a good smoker but doesn't mean it's not good.

    What's Cooking?

I haven't had a bierock in years, the burger looks very tasty.
  24. The one in the original ock is a nice thick wide one with dark coloring. Good one anywhere.
  25. A little bleach water in the livewels and or bilge won't damage anything if you find yourself on an affected lake. But yeah I wouldn't hose down the interior even on my boat. Drying time still works in the barn just takes an extra day or two. Appreciate the intent and work to not be the transporter of zebra mussels.
