  1. Oneshot, you may not have noticed, but what you are holding is not a catfish, carp or a possum head. 🙂
  2. I can still do most stuff, but I am.getting lazier and less capable and am trying to find a local.kid who want to work a day or two a week. Seems a better fit for me. Recliner, snacks and naps are already a major part of my agenda.
  3. Big rascal but the photos sucked, hard to get a good look at it.
  4. I fear that if I did my mother's ghost would haunt me. Or patch them during the night.
  5. If you suffer from.old man butt then belts merely slow down the fall. I have not had good luck with most suspenders, ended up buying some from the suspender store on line. They had snaps that you clip onto belt loops work much better. And you can buy cheap lightweight cotton dress pants for a lot less than jeans cost anymore. I can't stand heavy jeans anymore unless it is COLD outside.
  6. Well from experience wearing pants of some kind to a conference is preferred by everyone.
  7. You keep wandering around outside in the summer heat and you "work" in the greenhouse is going to be as compost.
  8. What Billethead said. Get a tripod.
  9. I am curious on the Pomeranian, is the court case over ownership or registration.
  10. Hmm I see some issues there. You don't breed an already crossbreed dog to get more of them. You breed purebred to get them. Meaning you would not breed two golden doodles to get more golden doodles, you would breed a poodle and a golden retriever. AKC doesn't register crossbreeds I don't believe.
  11. I think if you fall, that thing is gonna eat you!
  12. That is exactly what I was thinking!
  13. No such thing as a Niangua snail darkter. The Snail Darter is a specific darter but doesn't live in MO. The Niangua Darter does live in the Niangua drainage and is an endangered species. The. Hange that you saw and actual Nangua Darter is small, but possible. There are a lot of other darters that are common, greenside and orange throat would be the most common. But there are a lot of different "minnows" in the creeks and rivers.
  14. Welcome and thank you for your service. The name pogey bait conjures up some days hunting and fishing with a bag full of snacks!!
  15. Grizwilson, almost a carbon copy of what we experienced on Thursday last week.

    What's Cooking?

Still batching it but I did upgrade last night to steak. Truck farm selling packaged steaks on way home from work. Hmm big thick T Bones on sale, choice made. A little extra fat on them but I will be honest and say that beef fat crisped up is about my favorite part.

    What's Cooking?

My wife is gone fir a few days so the dogs and I have fallen way back, past the days of making good looking foods. Last night was Mac and cheese with extra Velveeta, then dumped a can of Mexican corn into it and finally cut up most of a polska kielbasa that I had grilled. Shook in some seasonings and poof supper. It was pretty tasty, dirtier a bare minimum of dishes (I did use a bowl I am no longer a complete hillbilly) and plenty left over for lunch today. Tonight I am again channeling my past, I have placed a call to the local gas station for a meat lovers pizza. Which I will eat off of a paper plate placed on top of a real plate, keeps the real plate clean and I gotta clean up my mess before wife come home. I don't mind washing dishes but for some reason I hate putting them away.

    What's Cooking?

Kids came down so I put the Blackstone to work and wife put the cast iron to work. The pic doesn't show the shrimps that got added as soon as I had the salmon and steaks off.
  20. I have had a compost bin for over 20 years, I have never turned it over. It is a roughly 4 foot circle of welded wire (2x4) and 4 feet tall. On multiple occasions when mybkids were at home we raked up huge piles of grass clippings into the tractor bucket and literally filled the bin. Within 3 weeks you could hardly tell it. Kithen and garden compost etc. Never anything than a couple of watering when it was really dry. It simply keeps melting down. I did one time pull the wire off and got a scoop of the compost for use in something or other. Otherwise benign neglect is the word.
  21. If you can't drive or get around well someone is gonna find you piled up amongst the blackberries in the heat when you start picking them.
  22. Nemo isnt a State Park (COE) but that only matters to me. 😜 Have heard several people catching bass just as Smithvillesteve described. Rains last night brought lake up a bit so not sure whatbit might change.
  23. Dang nice bass!
  24. Put the word ORGANIC on them and they will sell. Because everybody hates them synthetic vegetables. The word Heirloom will also help them sell. I plant one or two heirloom tomatoes the rest are hybrids because they produce better for me.
