I agree with you 100%.

I use white Nanofill 10# with a 6 or 8# fluorocarbon leader tied with the Alberto knot. I am a line watcher, so the white gives the visibility to detect a slight movement in the line and the Nanofill gives me great feel of the lure.

Bill What is the model number of that charger?? I tried to read it off of the post but just can't make it out. I want to try your cycling of my batteries to see if I get better results from my batteries... I have had battery problems in the past with capacity problems. I've got a 2019 Bass Cat Eyra that came with a 1150 Pro Guide AGM engine battery, it was replaced about a year ago under warranty because of low capacity. I have since bought a X2 battery in place of the Pro Guide and still have about the same fishing time. I am running 2 Garmin 126 with live scope and a HDS12 carbon and I can fish around 3 to 4 hours and my voltage drops into the mid 11 volt reading of the graphs and have problems cranking the big motor. I've checked the voltage level of my batteries before leaving 5the house and all batteries check at 12.8+ so they are full charged starting out. The trolling motor AGM batteries are working great, and they came with the boat also. So, I am going to put all electronics on a 100 AH Lithium battery plus changing the 10-gauge wiring to #6 gauge to combat the voltage drop. My on-board charger seems to be working fine so thinking that your charging procedure may help so willing to try it, but I need to obtain charger. Sorry for the long-winded reason for asking for the model number of your charger. LOL

I agree with you 110%..... -
You might give Ulrich Marine a call at (417)272-1841 or Branson West Marine a call at (417)272-1000. Either one of these dealers maybe able to install a steering cable on your Ultrex for you... Both of these are in Branson West....

Those can cause you to hurt yourself.... It's a snake and they don't get along with me at all......no matter what kind it is...IT'S A SNAKE... Lol

I'll agree with Bo on the MotorGuide Tour Pro. I tried the ghost and the anchor mode just did not compare to the MotorGuide. The direct cable control steering is the feature that brought me back to the MotorGuide and of course I have used a MotorGuide trolling motor for years with no real problems other than normal maintenance items. They were just late in getting it on the market with the anchor mode. The Xi5 was a good motor but the bracket and the foot pedal steering control did suck.....

My son and I also found that pattern working on Thursday of this week. The only thing was I caught the larger brownies'(3-1/2 to 4-1/2 lbs.) on the ned scrubbing the bottom. My son was using a small swim bait and caught a real heavy keeper Kentucky. We did boat several short brown fish our 5 best would of been around 17 plus. The fish were in the 12 to 15 Ft. with the boat set in 20 to 23 Ft. of water. Used the anchor mode on the MotorGuide Tour Pro to hold us on the the spots in the wind..

When we pulled into Cape Fair on Monday I made a remark of Don't people work on Mondays anymore??? Before I retired in 2007 I had to work on Mondays along with the other 4 or 5 days and some 7 day weeks working.... How the times have changed....

Those buoy's are marking the Piney Wilderness area. No motor boats allowed so if you are going to fish that area bring your kayak and fish that area. Not even a trolling motor to be used in that area. I heard a few years ago that a person was fishing in that area and was disqualified from a tournament for fishing that area. I suppose if the right enforce officer could write you a ticket for using a motor powered boat in that area. That area is also restricted for no ATV's in that area. Those buoys used to be farther back but was moved a couple three years ago to their present location...

Thanks Bill will check them out...

I am wanting some feed back on Trolling Motors. I have had a MotorGuide Tournament Pro on order for 3 months now with no estimate when they may come available. So the question is do anyone here own a Lowrance Ghost or have used one and have any comments on on how they operate?? If you own one would you buy another?? Any pro's or con's on the operation of the Ghost trolling motor?? The Ghost is in stock and will ship immediately on purchase... I am a MotorGuide user from way back and that's why I wanted a MotorGuide. I had a MotorGuide Xi5 and loved everything about how it operated, anchor mode worked great, following a recorded track was great, everything was great but one thing and that was the bracket and how it deployed and retracted was a pain in the a#@ if you know what I mean. With my age and balance control anymore I could almost fall out of the boat when getting down on my knees to push the lever and pull the thing back up to the stowed position. So I sold it and went to a new backup MotorGuide X5 24 volt. Works great except I miss the anchor mode so that's why I ordered the newest MotorGuide Tournament Pro but 3 months waiting is getting old for a product that was rumored 3 years ago.. So if you have any information on or about the Lowrance Ghost I sure would like to hear your opinion and or experience with the Ghost trolling motor. I believe some guides are using the Ghost that fish TableRock Lake. Thanks for your help

Did you launch out of Indian point?? Was wondering how the ramp was compared to the high water.
-
We’ve got water everywhere many ramps are useable. State Park ramp will be useable

It’s like the saying if it wasn’t for bad luck you wouldn’t had any luck at all.. 😉 has

Aren't they suppose to have an observer to watch the skier of what ever they are towing so the driver can watch where he is going. You know there's another thing about these people pulling skiers and the use of the red flag. At least 50% out of the 100% that knows you got to have a red flag when they are pulling someone but I'll be darn they don't when to use it. They just fly it all of the time whether they have a person down in the water or not. They just know that they have to have a flag. Again where are the water patrol officers???? That's why I am in favor of a boat operators license and must be 16 years to take the written and a practical test to qualify to drive a boat.. The one thing that can prove to be fatal and that is the practice of steering left when meeting a boat head-on. Now on the lake I've been meeting boats and I'd turn left and the other boat steers to the right what a mess it is I have just stopped at times until I can see which way the other boat is going to go..... Very frustrating to me when that happens. Maybe we need floating center lines on the lake.... 😉

When these folks come off the highway and there’s no center painted center line and or no passing/no passing Lines it becomes a free for all. Makes you wonder whether these people ever had any training on the coast guard rules of water way navigation at all. Because it is a free for all on the water anymore. Also where’s the water patrol at when these characters are on the water???

I'm a little concerned that with the influx of people here with the virus still floating around and with our very low rate of infections here in Stone and Taney counties we could see an increase in cases and with a lot of our local retired residents with health conditions that put us in the high risk category could become a problem here.....

I'd go to Sam's and get their Duracell group 31 AGM battery with the largest CCA rating. To calculate the MCA rating of a battery compared to its CCA rating, multiply the CCA rating by 1.25 that will give you the MCA rating. The Duracell battery will be less costly also. Not to bash brands but in my experience I'd place the ProGuide batteries at the bottom of my list others rate them highly. But my experience with them only lasting about a year.

This is what we get with no enforcement of the laws and navigation rules on our waterways now days. There will be loss of life sooner or later due to pure disregard of these laws. There was talk here awhile back of separating the highway patrol back in 2 divisions again which I agree they to be to get more full time officers out on the water at all hours patrolling our waterways.

I agree with both of you on the use of a spot light at night while running on the lake at night. There are a few bow fishermen run from place to place leaving their bright lights on. When that happens everyone for a 100 yards or more are blinded and there will be an accident happen one of these days and then there will be hell to pay plus the lawyers will earn their keep. It is against all navigation rules and laws to have no more than running lights on only at night and that's is red & green on the bow and a white light on the stern visible above the highest part of your boat. I see so many boats with their rub rail lights on while running which is not to be on while running. One of the reasons for these violations, is low enforcement of these laws by the water patrol due to a low presents on the waters in the state.
