  1. Broken foot bones suck, broken ribs are worse. If you can still get your pecker hard, ask your wife for a handy (or a boat). 60/40 she's going boat.
  2. Have always enjoyed Rush. Have seen twice in STL. RIP Neil. Hope you are residing in the Temples of Shirinx.
  3. Do give it a try...A ball head jig can turn into an aspririn head in about 5 seconds...A bench vice will do it. Then powder coat & bake before you tie. Tie those on Bite Me jigs...Ball heads with weed guards...Not sure if still in biz...Liked em, so ordered several hundred.
  4. Looking Good....Billy Westmoreland was a fan of bear hair aspirin head jigs...and so am I....My #1 jig this time of year. Followed by the late Ron Krueger's Flair Hair.
  5. Doubt if you can do much damage with a 9.9, wont go fast enough to really break anything. Just grind that prop, drag it, and bring extra prop & pins. Might bunjee the lock down pin so the skeg bounces if you hit bottom or a big object.
  6. Haven't been looking for them. Pass shot a big honker while scouting a couple weeks ago, but have been busy with the holiday's and winter float. Not seeing anything other than the resident ducks on the local park pond right now. Had a couple bunches of migrators visit for a day but none stayed more than overnight. Lots of Canada's loafing on un-huntable ponds in the STL area now, driving by several hundred daily. Might try to wack some on the MO river this weekend.

    Fillet or Not?

I wont eat ANY farm raised fish, or ANY seafood imported from Asia. They feed Tilapia poop in Asia....Saw Tilapia for 99 cents a lb at the Mexican Market in Marco, IL Florida, and nobody would touch it. Grouper heads & snapper were selling fast though.
  8. We are looking to replace 4 exterior doors in the St. Louis Area. Can anyone recommend a company for the doors and the install? If you have replaced your doors, how much were the doors, and how much was the install?

    Fillet or Not?

Depends on the fish and how I intend to cook them. Fillet=Fried Fish...Skin on=Grilled or Broiled.

Pics should get uploaded to my buddies website in the next couple of days. He maintains the photo archive.

No 24” browns harmed, several 23” range, many legal sized browns, some smallmouth, a rare largemouth caught, few rainbows. Felt sorry for the fat man in the 10 foot kayak yesterday. He ate it hard several times while in view.

Bunch camping below Baptist on the trout water already, more arriving in the AM. Fair Warning. All The 24”+ browns s/b sore lipped & released (or spooked & moved) by Saturday AM.
  14. Bunn does well if you like allot of coffee.
  15. Have way to many gizmo’s. Those Keurig’s are expensive and they generate tons of plastic waste. We use a stovetop expresso maker Bialetti 6 cup. Works great. Always rinse it, but Never wash it.
  16. Have 2 Panels & flip tops. WYSIWYG. To heavy to haul by myself so it’s gotta go. It’s grassed with jute rope ties. Make offer. Pick up in STL
  17. The 832 suffix in 2lb diameter casts better than the 10-15 stuff on spin gear. Would go allot heavier on braid for a bait caster.
  18. 3 turn Surgeon’s. I don’t mess with fancy knots.
  19. Buffalo is better than Carp. Both just OK. Asian carp is better than both, less oily.
  20. 400 in a standard oven for 20 S/B good, nice rare pork tenderloin.
  21. Coyotes & vultures don’t care about that.
  22. Got one as a gift & regifted it to someone who expressed an interest in one. Heck, if I want fried, I will fry it. Liquid conducts heat allot better than air.

    ASPCA

Guess only illegal if you hunt over it. You could dump some cracked corn around and move those birds.

It’s Highly illegal to scatter corn for waterfowl. You can leave it unharvested, standing and flood it though. Might spill a few on her property & report her.
  25. Game Leases and Big Ag have ruined hunting access for most. Public land is full of goobers, and gets shot out quickly. Private land is still full of Goobers, but it gets less pressure. Plus hunters & fishermen suck at recruiting...The focus is on 8 year olds...That's nice, but recruit folks in the 16-50yr old range...They can drive and go on their own.
