  1. Rumaki is great. Duck chunk, water chestnut chunk, bacon wrap, teriyaki marinade. Grill or Broil. Let rest 10M. That water chestnut chunk retains allot of heat.
  2. Any interest in a breakfast/lunch group? Once a month, once a quarter might be fun. Get together and BS for awhile and fill your belly.
  3. Our Jade plants and cacti do well in our south facing bay windows.
  4. Looks like a great time! My girls learned to toss a cast net on our last trip to FL.
  5. Just get out more and get my daughters on some fish more often. Highlight of my year was fishing with my daughters. Present goal is to catch an Upper Current River Trifecta on the upcoming winter trip (Brown, Rainbow, Smallmouth). Bonus if I get a big fish or two. I don’t know what Laker’s definition of a lunker is, but he has caught a bunch of them including a state record brown on a fly rod.
  6. Yes Gioias is doing well. They won a James Beard Award in 2017. I like the Porknado 2 on the secret menu. There is a second location in Creve Couer near my office.
  7. Gioias is still there.
  8. The guy is a scumbag but that is cruel and unusual punishment.

Minnesota is great for 4 months a year.

    Just To Go

Get some 2 & 4 oz pyramid sinkers, some 30lb leader and a bag of frozen shrimp. You can always catch Catfish off the beach, gamefish sometimes. The locals don’t like saltwater catfish, but they are abundant a fry up just fine.

    Just To Go

It’s true. Not many fish in the gulf! The red tide & pollution has killed most of them.
  12. You can row and fish OYO, but you need oar rights to keep the oars from flopping. Anchoring helps. Most drifters have too much width and too much rocker for MO. A skiff or river Jon is a better choice.
  13. Hook up with Hog Wally and Mitch F. Still prefer silent downriver water craft that you row, paddle, or propel with a tiller trolling motor.
  14. No worries Ham. I always have a backup spool on me when wade fishing, plus extra reels dry bagged In case I get one wet and it freezes.
  15. Good for all of you. Nice trip report and a fine mess off walleye!! Turning Japanese will cost you but the results speak for themselves.
  16. Don’t wait until tax refund time. Prices will be higher in 6-8weeks.
  17. Thanks again Ham, I have been switching to mono if it’s in the teens. Think I’ll give a spool of nano a shot on next month’s float trip.
  18. Thanks Ham...how does Nano perform when its below freezing? Have been using the Suffix braids in 2lb diameter, and it needs a leader for abrasion resistance, and the ability to bust the leader off if need be.
  19. Have not messed with the Nano. Prefer to fish ultra thin hi vis braid with leaders on spin rigs. Does nano get the twistys like mono will?

    My First Elk Hunt

    Good for you! Great Hunt!
  21. I know slosh & cwf well. They are like brothers. If they want, it’s theirs.
  22. Will deliver them to camp in January..and you boys can scrap over em...😊
  23. Price reduced. $40 for 13 baits. Great deal.
  24. She shoots several times a year and is good at it. No worries. She didn’t like my little 9mm auto or the 45. To much time wasted racking the slide. The revolver just goes bang until it goes click.

    What's Cooking?

Interesting. Never have liked cauliflower. My wife wanted wings tonight. Decided to bake them instead of fry. 450 for about an hour did the trick. I never noticed before but every wing in the pack was from the same side of the chicken. Guess they pack better that way.
