They shock from the Park to Baptist...and the other stretch is between Ashley & Parker....It kills a ton of minnows, so the fish will be full for a couple days...Thanks for the report.

Stayed at the Rock Castle at BSR several years ago...no complaints. The stretch between Campbell Bridge and Blue Spring has some of the best scenery on the Meramec. Sunburst or River of Life on the NFoW would be good options too.

I use marabou plumes not the strung stuff. Its a must for bass sized flies...Tie in by the tip, and fold it as you wrap.

Think I'd opt for the G. Nade....but not that reach...Better fishing north of I-44 IMO...

I own both...and they are similar but slightly different...Just got back from testing them side by side in my in-ground pool... There are a couple of differences.....The shape is almost identical but the RC has a thicker bill and a slightly blunted nose. The weight transfer system is the same. The Mega has more rattles...and a sharper, crisper, louder rattle...the Mega goes snap, crack and pop and the RC thuds kinda like a wiggle wart. Hardware & Paint...great finish & hardware on the Mega...Lousy rings & cheap hooks on the RC... Performance... Depth...Bought the same... Wiggle...bought the same... Suspension...The Mega...floats nose down at a 45....the RC...maybe 20 degrees nose down... Slow float...The RC floated a lot faster....maybe twice as fast... Think you could get the RC to behave like a Mega with a bit of fiddling...but not the same bait...One might outfish the other on any given day depending on what the fish want...Just the way it is with jerkbaits.

That B10S seems to break before it bends. The same can be said about the Dai Riki 810....Try using them for clousers if you want to break a lot of hook points.

Waking a mouse or other fly at night...is completely ineffective for brown trout or smallmouth...forgetaboutit.

Woulda loved to have a video of me bailing out on Monday...Add it to the list of river misadventures. Broken bones, bloody lacerations, vengeful insects, poison ivy, lost stuff, meth-head encounters, forgot the stuff that you really needed...extra useless stuff that came along instead. Quit or keep trying until I finally figure this stuff out;>)!?
