  1. The more small tourneys they fish the better they get? Think they have an aquarium. Done before...and for little money.
  2. Have a customer in “Vi Anna”, and my mother in law and aunt like to “warsh” things. Dialects are funny to a point.
  3. Hunting Shanks Sunday. Scheduled a meeting in Moscow Mills and Troy this Am. Drove through Shanks midday but did not see a single duck or goose. Some plume birds. No cover out there at all, gotta toss more grass on my A-frame. Think 80% of the corn fields are still standing. Sheet Water and Standing crops everywhere between STC and Hannibal.
  4. Nothing flying around hear. This front should move some. Heard some specks & snows moving through a couple weeks ago. Numbers are doubling every time Forbes surveys the Mississippi, but not near peak yet.
  5. Have fillet knife, will travel. You have my number.
  6. Shanks hunt on the 3rd is now filled.
  7. Got a spot available for Shanks on the 3rd, and drew S2 on Swan Lake on the 13th.
  8. The Big is fickle...On or off. Shoulda gone Ned with the cold morning temps. Heat of the day should have be prime time once we start getting some cold.
  9. Too bad about your blind. Thanks for the info. Hope you get your blind repaired, and that b,c,d works out for you.
  10. Got drawn for Shanks on 11/3 so its on...Pill 11.

    What's Cooking?

If you liked what you cooked it is good! Usually finish a schnitzel type breaded fry with fresh lemon. No gravy. The spices go on the meat before breading so they stick.
  12. It’s not hard to repair a rod. I could do myself, but easier to farm it out to Tom Hargrove in STL One of the best custom rod guys on the planet and one of my best friends.
  13. Good for you!

That’s no Baltimore crab cake! 3x to small! Bet it was really good though!
  15. They have not...but you could ask them, volunteer, and go with. Got to tag along and sample trout with them many years ago...Its hard work...but you will learn allot.
  16. Water everywhere...Birds will be scattered....S/B fun.
  17. Getting there. Pulled em out of the attic. Like the new goose silos.

    What's Cooking?

Hard part is good crab. Easy to source in Maryland or DC. Having some shipped from Crabs to Go in Ocean City MD on Thursday. Will see.
  19. Thinking he swamped it upstream and it washed into that sweeper.
  20. Looks like a rough first day!
  21. Good for you! They stink, but those goats are tasty!
  22. Its worth a visit just to take landscape pics. Relfe spring is right by the road, but on Danforth land....You can access via the USFS road, TU Access, a bridge, or at the confluence with the Big Piney on the lower end. It is not fished much due to poor access. Don't know how much land the Danforth's own, but they are nice folks, and they like to fly fish for trout.
  23. Have been slacking on this....Found that my ID got hacked this week, but locked it all down. Payee is whom? Special Olympics?

    What's Cooking?

Testing out soups for the family soup party...Wife came up with a stellar clam chowder....The must go gumbo on the stove right now is really good...Some lemon pepper chicken in there, and it adds a surprisingly good finish flavor. The Italian sausage soup was great....Might go with that next Saturday. Wife is gonna enter clam chowder, and my 10 yr old wants to enter as well...Need 2 more crock pots.
