  1. Hey johnboy, Aunt's is a good place to fish and is (as everyone is sorely aware of) my favorite for most of the year. Aunt's has trees in some areas, rocky places in others, deep points not far away and just about any kind of habitat you are looking for to fish that particular day. With that being said... it is (for me) more of a Kentucky and occasional LM area with less small mouth. I have better luck for small mouth toward the dam and the rockier deeper areas (point 9). I am certain there are guys who slay the smallmouth in Aunt's but I am not one of them.
  2. Would rather have a day fishing like you did than the day not fishing like I did!
  3. Sounds like a blast! The more the merrier in Aunt's! Nothing like a day on the water with friends.
  4. Have some ideas!
  5. That would be the Kings side! You are very naughty! Donna please rein him in!
  6. Sweeet!
  7. Hey.....if you come on Saturday can you pull a tube and throw a small kid in it? Get as close to my boat as you can and salute me with a can of beer as you drive by. I need to get some training in for this summer.
  8. One down.....499 to go!
  9. Sorry, I got the info second hand from a friend that said they put in at Mill Creek. I didn't ask anything about if it was from the ramp or some other spot. I would have thought it would have been part of the story. I texted, but he hasn't replied yet.
  10. Apparently Aunt's is closed for the rest of summer. Sorry guys I know Mill Creek is open. Haven't been to Aunt's yet and hoping to hear a real answer from someone in the know too!
  11. Exactly right
  12. Glad you said something. Capt Don is a class act. I wish there were more like him. I know how close he is to his wife. Thanks for the heads up.

    Ramps

Noper. Was going with Babler but he decided to check it out first to save me the trip down. I think he found one place to get in but said the debris made it almost impossible to fish. We will probably ait a week or so now. Water Patrol is asking eveyone to stay off the lake for a few days. I hope everyone stays safe!
  14. Thanks!
  15. How is Pomme fairing? Any place to launch?
  16. Fishing would be fun, if you can get on the lake somewhere and keep out of the debris! Picked a bad week to take off for fishing

    Ramps

Are all the ramps still usable? Really interested in Aunt's Creek for morning.
  19. Wow! Did the tourney start today too?
  20. Me too! Love the rock that is!
  21. Welome to the family.
  22. What has worked for me in the past.....if the water is still rising then look for where the green bushes meet the water. If water going back down look for where the old shoreline is. They tend to congregate there for a bit. Then back to transition banks.

    April 24

Put in at Cape Fair and fished for almost three hours (2-5) before a couple of lightning bolts scared us off the lake. We caught eight fish with all of them being caught on the Eakins jig with the green twin tail trailer in about 2 feet of water. All the fish were around fifteen inches some a little short and a couple a little over. Nice temps nice weather except for the electricity!
  24. I agree. With the water rising the fish go shallower.
