You see at the end of that video the eagle was sitting in the water and thinking "What the heck am I going to do with this now? I'm all wet and I can't get this thing out of the water because it's too big" Maybe the eagle did it to feed the fish and make them bigger so he can eat bigger fish later on?

It’s what happens when the government give out free money to everyone. They get complacent and don’t want to go back to work because why.

Well Gov. Parsons declared it a state holiday so I got yesterday off. I'm all for it 😃

At the in-laws pond this weekend and couldn’t buy a bite yesterday morning. Went out in the afternoon and same thing. Hadn’t tried topwater so I put on a whopper plopper and gave it a try even though it was cloudless and air was getting hot. Caught 10 bass between 2-3lbs in about 30 min all in the same place on a shallow flat next to a deeper drop off. Hadn’t had that sort of action in this pond for a long time. My 9yo daughter told me she really wanted to catch one of the bigger bass in this pond so I went in and told her I had found where all the bass were. She went out and I cast it out to the flat and handed her the rod and she caught the biggest bass she had ever caught, this 3lber. She was pretty excited as you can see. Then she went on to catch two more 2lbers.

I'll have to say I've only been walleye fishing once in my life and it was up in Canada and we would bottom bounce for them in 6'-10' of water using the outboard to troll with and it didn't spook the fish at all on a remote lake that doesn't see many boats. Not sure if Missouri fish spook easier but I wouldn't think so with the boat traffic on our lakes.

I'm still seeing their Facebook site: (2) Boiling Spring Campground, LLC | Facebook Another place you could look if that one doesn't work out is Rt66 Canoe: Route 66 Canoe Rental (rt66canoe.com)

Yours didn't have the chips in it. I must have had both the tracking chip and the 5G chip.

2nd Moderna had me in chills, sweats and a 102 fever about 12 hours after getting it. But then the next day I was just tired, and my arm hurt. After this past Wednesday I am golden as it's been 2 weeks since the 2nd dose.

Had to find my old one and reupload. All good here now. -

I can tell you one thing. Slinging a big rabbit hair streamer is a lot different than having a size 14 whooley bugger on the end of the line.

I rigged it up tonight with just a straight 8’ length of 10lb I had. Put a perfection loop at the end to connect to my fly line loop and we’ll see how it goes in the morning.

Headed to the pond this weekend and will probably take my fly rod to try for bass for the first time. How do you all set up your line? Just tie straight to the fly line with some 6-8lb mono/fluoro/hybrid line? Or are there heavier test leaders and then use a tippet?

Ouch. Cutting corners......and then the hook happens.

I like how his first instinct was to make sure the rods on the deck were ok. Who cares about the boat. I knew he was going to be in trouble when he was out there in the wakes of the other boats and was keeping the hammer down trying to go over them. -
That's huge! Not Bill Babler huge, but huge nonetheless!

I have these also. Best you can buy. They used to be about $12 on Amazon but their prices have gone up to about $19. https://www.amazon.com/Xuron-496-Split-Ring-Plier/dp/B000BL6OZ8/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=xuron+496&qid=1615177529&sr=8-1 They have a little grove that holds the split ring right where it needs to be for the tooth to split it.

Good news for those who use the ramp to put their boat in on the Meramec. https://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/franklin-county-and-mdc-reach-agreement-resurface-st-mary’s-road?fbclid=IwAR2KJReAAFwsk26rXVdmsk5eYC93ZzOiv1wz-phiIXGeZlMlxC4HLg5xiPI

I think that is about what I paid a couple years ago. It's really not bad since a slip usually costs $15/night or so.

When I stayed at Emerald Point I dry docked my boat at the marina there and they had electrical hookups to charge the batteries. They put your boat in when you want it too (when they are open that is).
-
I'm guessing there will be some damage to docks when water gets as low as it is? Not that the ice isn't already doing that to a lot?
-
I bet it's pretty hard to get that solid water to go through the turbines.

CDC is still recommending even those who have gotten the vaccine and those who have gotten the virus prior to still wear masks as they can still be carriers and distributors of the virus. These people may not get sick from the virus but they can still spread it if it is fresh in their body, e.g they were in close contact with someone who has the virus, and the vaccine or their antibodies haven't killed the virus yet. Again, this virus isn't about you getting it and having mild symptoms and making it through it, its about you getting it, not knowing it by being asymptomatic, and spreading it to someone who won't deal with it so gracefully and may ultimately die from it. It's the selfish people who don't care about their friends, family, neighbors, and humans in general that are going to keep this thing going by not getting vaccinated or wearing masks. It's up to those people on how soon we get back to somewhat normalcy.

I have a small single stage 4 stroke Toro I bought a couple years ago after my 2 stroke MTD died on me and left me with having to shovel it. Best $250 I've ever spent. The Toro starts up every time and makes short work out of snow like we had this week. If it's wet heavy snow it struggles a little and makes me wish I had a bigger 2 stage but it works for now. Used it twice Monday and again yesterday to clean things up on my 6 car driveway and long double lot length sidewalk.
