It blows my mind that in 2024 the protocol for such things STILL hasn't been figured out to anyone's satisfaction.
It surprises me that anything, including delivering the mail, can actually get done. π
Make sure that the voltage at the foot pedal (plug?) is the same as the voltage at the batteries. Both loaded & unloaded.
If not then start looking from downstream--up for any signs of heated wiring or a poor connection somewhere.
If all checks good, then she needs to go to the nearest Minn Kota service center.
Just leave the motor straight up&down for a bit and it will drain out just fine.
Pull the lower unit drain plug briefly, before a hard freeze, to ensure that there isn't any water in the lube.
That's all you need to do.
It hasn't changed any since your last trip through, has it ?
That's why I love it here ! π Seems that everytime I leave home I notice some new development going on somewhere. Won't be long until the entire state is a concrete jungle. π₯
From what I gather, they are as tiny as a grain of pollen. They cover the ground under trees and when you walk through there it poofs them up like particles of dust. When they land on moist skin they find a pore and immediately burrow into it because they are thirsty.
Oh yeah ! 2 steps outside the mowed portion of my yard will have your legs and feet burning for 24 hours.
They were absent for a couple weeks.....but they are back now.
Doesn't matter what I cover myself in, they'll go right through it. Hate 'em !
Well if the HAARP people could figure out how to replicate the weather pattern we had here in my area the last couple weeks....they could create the PERFECT environment for us humans.
Absolutely lovely, yet none of the most annoying, and troublesome insects.
In all honesty I feel like if there were quality flylines available, that casted fine, had a decent coating, and didn't stretch like a rubber band, ect. for under 10.00 .....Then surely everyone who was a flyfishing guru would know about it. And the big 3 would be out of business.
The bugs are gradually coming back now.
That little break from them was kinda weird.....but it was nice ! A place where there are no flys, mosquito's, ticks or chiggers WOULD BE nice !
The problem I've experienced with cheap fly lines is that although some of them do indeed cast just fine.....they stretch like you're fishing with a rubber band. Good hook sets are practically impossible. You can get away with that if you're short-line trout/bluegill fishing, but when you are fishing for bass/stripers/ect. with 30+feet of line out, you've got 8+ feet of S-T-R-E-T-C-H to manage.
I just can't enjoy that.
Oh I learned something too.... She has some fancy name for what it is π
If you call it a "desk" it ain't worth the paint it took to cover it.......But if you call it the OTHER THING it sells for over 100 bucks with a quickness! All of the Karen's on her FB friends list were fighting over it.
Marketing ! π
Don't ask me the name she used, cuz I can't even pronounce it, much less spell it. Sounds expensive (French?) though. π€
