As far as "artifacts" go it's really hard to say, and impossible to determine what truly is an ancient artifact. Every small town in the country has at least a few bored crackheads that, at one period of their life, evaded extreme boredom by pecking on pieces of flint or chert (making points). And gardeners have crafted makeshift tools out of stone, not because they HAD NOTHING ELSE, but just because they didn't feel like running to town to buy a tool that they'd likely only use once or twice. It might feel cool to think that someone once used this thing to survive..... but the reality is likely far less romantic. Here are a few artifacts that I use in my work daily. They help me survive! Maybe 100+ years from now someone will find them and get all mushy about it. Door Stop (circa 2022) Wheel chocks (circa 2016)

👍 That's what I'm saying! 15-17 inchers will give you a workout. Much bigger than that and they are all weight and no real fighting spirit.

The lake is currently at 655.+ so there's no problem at any of the main ramps that I'm aware of. Most begin to get sketchy when the lake is 654.5 or below. It's always a good idea to keep the motor trimmed up a bit just in case there's a prop wash pile at the end of the ramp.

Flouro seems to be relatively unaffected by shelf time. Mono tends to dry out and get stiff. If your fingers are covered in white dust after re-lining then you probably spooled up with stale line.

Naw, a rock pile directly under a dock cable, or a walkway, is a guaranteed fish magnet. No lower units can disturb them there. 😉

I've yet to discover a fly style, or color of material, that will not catch fish. The #1 Rule is.....There are no rules. After going nearly fishless all day, a guy once stepped into the stream above me and my buddy..... and started literally putting on a clinic fishing a #16 Adams dry fly as a nymph.

Bed extenders are way overkill for just a canoe/kayak. I have one for my short-bed truck, and honestly the extender weighs more than 2 canoe's do. I've toyed with building something a little more reasonable. Wouldn't take much.

You can catch bass doing just about anything right now. There's a lipless crankbait bite in the backend flats, a spinnerbait/crankbait/Hula grub bite on the steeper chunky banks, and there are still some suspended bass that'll crush an A-rig or jerkbait. So.....pick your poison.

A doctor somewhere probably killed someone while trying to cure them of something non-fatal.....so they invented a new "disease" to blame it on. I wouldn't worry about it. Stay away from doctors and you'll be fine. 👍

Where did you hear that? This is the first time I've ever heard anything about crossing the two. This must have happened a long time ago becuase the chinese paddlefish was declared functionally extinct in 93 and complete extinction was estimated to have occurred between 2005 and 2010 Well that cinches the deal then 👍 If YOU haven't heard it before, and it can't be immediately googled......then I must be just making it up.
