  1. Not that I'm aware of. Just alot of talk among locals who know somebody that knows someone that heard things. Ya know?
  2. They expect you to believe that after all these years (R&D) they still haven't gotten their Paint figured out yet ? Then again..... it's obvious that after all these years they haven't gotten ignition and charging system components figured out either. There isn't a Mercury on the planet that hasn't needed multiple Stator/Switchbox and voltage regulator replacements during their first 10 years of life. Then as they progressed into DFI and computer controlled technology the list of "Sure To Fail" parts just became even greater. Now you can add ECM's, Compressors, Throttle position sensors, injectors, and fuel pressure regulators. Meanwhile they still haven't gotten PAINT perfected. In defense of all the dealerships out there...... I promise, it isn't THEIR fault. 😔
  3. Here's my guess on what truly happened..... A dude from Bolivar killed his uncle and got caught while trying to hide the body. After he learned that he was looking at a life sentence he started telling tales of piles of dead bodies that he was aware of. The authorities can't just dismiss it.....so they called the FBI in to investigate it. This is likely the REAL REASON why the FBI is suddenly poking around Windyville and Moon Valley rd. I hope they find a reason to investigate the douchebag that runs Ho-Humm. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if that guy didn't have a pile of body's hidden somewhere. Creepiest bastard I've ever stood close to.
  4. Didn't it have a Suzuki on it? The man ain't fit to paddle, so I hope he didn't take it out. 😅
  5. I can't tolerate a remote, or anything else on a lanyard around my neck either. That's a recipe for me hanging myself. I put it on a carabiner and clip it to a belt loop.
  6. Yep, and the one person who was trying to pull the reins on that, and escalate the America First movement.....is the one you hated with a passion and wanted as far away from Capital Hill as you could put him. Oh well. 🤷 😁
  7. Yeah, there's TALK going around. 🙄 Talk of an abandoned mobile home with numerous dead bodies, and freezers full of human sirloin and leg quarters.... Tales so grim and outrageous that the news outlets can't even tone it down enough for the public to mentally process. Classified FBI stuff, leaking out, ya know. 🙄
  8. Before you spend a dime on anything I would recommend running the serial # and verify what parts are still available.
  9. I stand corrected then. I've never rebuilt a 4-S, but keeping the ring gaps 180° from each other seems like it would be a smarter design. Regardless of whether 2-S or 4-S you still need .005" gap per 1" of bore. And having those gaps potentially align would be detrimental.....or at least "less than ideal". No?
  10. I've definitely added my two. But yes I fixed both of them. They agree with me 100%, so I don't think I'll ever be a grandpa. Maternity is not among their goals in life whatsoever. 👍
  11. The only function of the oil ring is to hold oil and distribute it around the circumference of the cylinder wall BEHIND the compression rings during the up-stroke. Cylinders on 4-S outboards only benefit from fresh lubrication on the intake and power stroke. The compression and exhaust stroke are lubricated only from whatever residual oil is present on the cylinder walls. The compression rings are pinned 180° from each other.
  12. Everytime I go anywhere to do anything I am reminded of the biggest problem in society.... Too many people. There is a gross imbalance. It's screwing up everything.
  13. Our Subway is closed for 6 days to allow employees to recover from mandated Covid vaccines. Or at least that's what the sign says. WTF? 😒
  14. I get that feeling every time the phone rings after 10:pm But it's always just Piper. 😂
  15. Every small town has their Ghost stories. The most famous one around HERE is about "Robbie, the bar owner" who throws .357 cartridges into the fireplace. Who knew that revolver ammo had an afterlife? 😂 To this day nobody in Gravois Mills will argue near a fire.
  16. Yeah, did acid at school and after taking a sip from the drinking fountain it crossed my mind that the water resembled liquid Mercury, and I suddenly froze up and couldn't walk. I was afraid that if I took a step my teeth would fall out. But that's explainable 😅 The only paranormal type thing I've ever experienced happened when I was 100% straight/sober. And it wasn't just ME, my dog freaked out too. I've told my "bleach bottle story" here before. 😳
  17. If you've ever worked for a company that you hate, then you should be able to understand. These lake bars down here that everyone loves and raves about.....They have ZERO problems staying well staffed.
  18. Here's what people (customers) are fed up with:. Seeing/hearing commercials from these fast food joints.....and then when they decide to go, it's all disgusting and a ripoff. So whatever that advertising campaign is costing them....it is a total waste of money. Make some truly GOOD FOOD and not only will people come back often, the word will get out, your customers will do your advertising for you (pro bono), and kids will be proud to work there......instead of being ashamed to work there. Hell no, McDonald's and Sonic can't keep help. No surprise there! Who would WANT to be a part of that? It isn't that kids are "too lazy to work", it is that kids want and deserve to be proud of where they work. Do something to make them proud to be there !
  19. Do we believe in "haunted towns", or "haunted houses"? I feel the need to check before I possibly hurt anyones feelings. 😊
  20. Wow, that's alot of carbon buildup for an EFI. That has to be from burnt oil. Pull the other pistons so you can get a comparison.
  21. Great 🙄 Now it's an epidemic. Should we prepare for another Gabby Patito style fiasco ?
  22. Is she dead ? My money says that she was a "slave" by her own choice, before she ever ended up in the Windyville area.
  23. If you truly enjoy venison then you'll like it simply rolled in flour and fried. Maybe some salt/pepper. All that extra malarkey that people go through before cooking it is because they want it to taste different than it actually does.
  24. Law enforcement agencies are allegedly required to have "probable cause" before taking action on anything. They get around that, anytime they want, by claiming to have received an anonymous complaint. Defense Lawyers LOVE IT whenever "anonymous tips" are involved.....cuz that makes it easy money for them eventually. They'll drag it out forever (racking up a huge bill) knowing full well that they are holding the trump card, via the anonymous complaint. It's all a big money sucking game, fed by bored/gung-ho LEO's with nothing better to do.
  25. Believe it or not, you could go out and buy a brand new Mercury today, and it would become unrepairable before that early '70s Johnson finally becomes scrap metal.
