  1. Whaddya mean "ALREADY" ? Jesus Christ she's 86, not 32 !
  2. St.Croix does too. They have some mad rod building skills. They've just decided to stop exercising them for some reason I can't understand.
  3. I hate chicken alfredo, and my wife insists on making it about once a month. I should have told her early on that my sister, mom, or ex made it better. Instead I lied (trying to be nice) and said it was fantastic 😟 So now I have to suffer through THAT as well as Period week. πŸ˜–
  4. Yessir. πŸ‘
  5. Right on. Gimme a week of bustass to get caught up... and then pick a date, a boat ramp, and tell me what your favorite Subway sammich is.... and I'll be there. πŸ‘
  6. Of course you'd pick my least favorite flyfishing river. πŸ˜… But okπŸ‘ Can we take your boat?
  7. Pretty muchπŸ™„ I'm not really uptight about a warranty, but I really love those Legend Ultra and Legend Elite rods, and it hurts to know that if (more like WHEN) I bust one it can't be replaced at ANY cost. I would be ok if I could just step down to an Avid......but NOOOO, they quit that sumbitch too! The Imperial and Mojo are the only choice, and they both are slow, tip heavy, overpriced Chinese slugs, that just will not get the job done. A 60.00 Piscifun 9' 7wt. is better than those pieces of crap by far. They don't even offer a Mojo 9' 6-7wt. because that bastard would be so freakin' tip heavy it would take a saltwater 10-12wt. reel to balance it out. The fact that they even decided to pull some $#!t like that is an insult to knowledgeable anglers with any kind of aquired skills.
  8. You wanna go with? That'd be cool πŸ‘. You know all about me and my 5 county rule.....so for me it is the Niangua, Little Niangua, Auglaize, Tavern, Osage fork, Gasconade, and a couple of pedal-in wading creeks whose names are unmentionable due to fear of prosecution. I keep thinking about running back up to Monroe co. for an olde-tyme Elk fork trip, but there's always a reason to keep putting it off. I really miss that stream πŸ€—
  9. I won't even climb up on the roof of my house. So I'm perfectly fine not knowing what's above the clouds.
  10. I'm going on a huge Smallie kick as soon as work is caught up. And I needed to get this family trip out of the way.
  11. Fished the upper river (trout water) and the park. Both up a bit and kinda cloudy. The river actually fished better than the spring branch , the flotilla of canoes/rafts kept the fish moving, so swinging Leeches, Buggers, and Soft hackles was the quickest way to a limit. Hit the park one afternoon/evening and did ok on my first pass through the HighBank stretch, but once that small group of dinks had been sore-mouthed it was pretty much over. Ran around and looked at other stretches for a potential Dry Fly bite, but couldn't find any groups of fish anywhere, so I elected to keep pounding the river where Orion (the protector of thieving squirrels) was more welcome. Every time I glanced towards the river from our campsite I did a double-take on this Grouse on a log. Do you see it? I finally sent a kid down to "flush it" so I could stop staring at it. πŸ˜… We lost a tub of sugar, a dish rag, and a pepper shaker to the campground squirrels and/or coons. Not sure why they wanted a pepper shaker....but whatever. Enjoyable trip I guess. Ate some good food. Put on a mild tequila bender 2 evenings in a row....but the fishing was kinda slow and boring. I really should have let him Swim at the hatchery.....I mean what are they gonna do, write him a ticket? . Pfffft! He don't GAF! πŸ™„ The list of warrants for his arrest is longer than his tail.
  12. When bragging about a LIFETIME WARRANTY a company should at least make it known that ...... Oh, by the way, we will probably stop producing this rod in a few years, or maybe even next month, and NO we will not buy it back from you.
  13. I've been boating my whole life, and IMO anchoring in more that 8' of water just doesn't work.....period. I don't give a rats @$s what kind/type of anchor you have. So my advice is to avoid spending stupid money on "trick" anchors (let's face it, anchors have been around long enough that no NEW IMPROVED anchor truly exists), so just look for 8'or less of water on flats.....and anchor there.....where the concept of anchoring with reasonable lengths of rope and chain actually works. πŸ‘
  14. Noooo, I did not. I said the only thing that kept me from having a very lucrative day was quitting for the day in order to take advantage of something like that. Only happened twice in 4 years for ME, but a couple of the other guys serviced areas that increased their odds of that. He doesn't need a job, he already has one.....he just doesn't like it anymore. 3rd world problem πŸ™„. He is still young, he'll figure it out.
  15. I would rather get them to jump than to actually land them. πŸ˜…
  16. I never said I ever threw down "all of the sudden". There's nothing ultra-rare about circumstances like that. Ask any fairly decent looking guy that did 5-7 cable TV installs per day for any length of time, I guarantee he will have a story or three to share. Solid abs and a tool belt just has a certain effect when the timing is right. I have an even better story I can share over a campfire sometime. Even if you ain't believing it..... it's worth listening to. You've lived all these years and have never had your bones jumped? Sorry for ya amigo πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  17. Dude, I wasn't even talking to you. I was responding to Oneshot. We were BSing about making money as a cable TV installer. You're the troll that got a boner over it....and now you say it's ME with the porn addled mind? UghπŸ™„
  18. I've met Oneshot's son. Good manπŸ‘ Appreciate the compliment
  19. Uh, no. You can put your dick away, story time is over.
  20. It was piece work for us. We got paid a certain amount for every pole climb, house wrap, wire fish, and additional outlet. And the rate for each task was plenty generous. If you wanted to make more money you just worked harder/faster/longer. About the only thing that would cause me to come up short of money was if, after calling and setting up the appointment,.....a gal would answer the door in panties and a T-shirt..... Because you knew the rest of your day was shot after THAT! 😲
  21. I see what you mean. Yeah that would bug me too. Will the motor not mount more straight with the hull, so that the TM head isn't hanging so far out over the side? Because that's just begging to be ripped off while docking someday. I always try to mount so that the head stays inside the gunnels, if possible.....like so.. If you can get that head inside the boat your angle on the deploy cable would be better.
  22. Life takes many paths. When I was 27 I was a cable TV installer Mon-Fri, a fishing guide on Sat-Sun, and wanted to be a pro fisherman. I was broken hearted, at the time, when that didn't work out, but I'm sure glad now! 😊
  23. It's an affliction I've always had. If you only knew how much better off my life could have been if I had just kept my thoughts to myself and minded my own business...... I just can't do it. I think I would literally burst.
  24. Are you getting any jumpers? I've noticed the gar up in the creeks never jump, but the ones further out in the lake, over deeper water, will often get some air. They are way more fun when they jump 4' out of the water. 😎
  25. I actually predicted that when they started putting those plasti-dipped steel cables on trolling motors. My actual words were....."Well that's cool, I guess, for as long as the plastic coating on the cable holds up".
