  1. Oh yeah. He isn't the only one ranting either. He is just the only one not afraid to rant publicly. All of the other "Pro's" are afraid to take a stance, or make any kind of "controversial statement" about ANYTHING. They are too worried about their image...... Because when they aren't finishing in the top 10 their IMAGE, and the court of public opinion, is all they have got to carry them through. You won't even see/hear another pro admit that he somewhat agrees with Randy.....but you know darn well they do. I hear it multiple times, daily. Anytime they are concerned about being "quoted" they pretend to be....just tired of hearing about it. The fake phoneyness has sadly become an epidemic in the fishing community. If they aren't getting the proper amount of THUMBS-UP on their Facebook feeds then they really begin to panic. 😅
  2. Already had a debate about that video on FB. Nobody cares that all the keeper sized fish are being relocated to the weigh-in areas, so there's no hope in expecting anglers to stop doing it. That's ok, because I think that participation in tournaments is going to take a huge nosedive within the next year or two. They pretty much shot themselves in the foot with forward facing sonar. They don't know it yet, but I can see it coming. Guys are going to get tired of fishing like that after a bit. The old school guys like me are not gonna keep being ok with getting their @$$ handed to them, time after time, by these high school aged video game masters. They'll go find something else to do.
  3. Actually I don't. Usually I just get one of those LOOKS when I say something she doesn't want to hear. But this evening I was sore, tired, dirty, hungry, and was in no mood to drive 45 miles to save 10.00 on an item that could easily be ordered online. The only inconvenience to HER was that she'd have it in a couple days instead of having it TONITE. Of course I recognized the REAL reason she wanted to do this was because we would pass 14 restaurants on the way, and she figured I'd stop at one of them. But No, I wouldn't, because there was no time to bathe before we left, and I looked and smelled like a damp sweaty boat mechanic. I might have hit a drive-thru and shoved a burger down my throat as I drove.... but I wasn't up for going in and having a sit down meal ANYWHERE. She says, "OMG you never wanna go anywhere"..... So I retaliated that remark with a truth bomb. Told her that she was wrong, that I wanna go lots of places, but that in the entire time I've known her I have never forced or guilted her into going anywhere when she didn't want to.....So why was she always doing it to ME? And that's when the bag of Tater Skins narrowly missed my left ear. 😅 That's fine. I have this big yellow dog that loves it when I sleep on the couch with him.
  4. Hey, she claims to appreciate honesty. Busted that phuckin' myth, I did. 😂 She'll get over it before her phone bill is due and her next order of ColorStreet nails gets placed.
  5. If I could keep my smartassed mouth shut I could say the same. But less than 45 minutes ago I had to dodge a bag of Potatoe Skins, and now it looks like I'm on my own for dinner. 🙄
  6. I feel that way about a lug wrench ?
  7. Actually I learned awhile back that's not true. We have lesbian neighbors and they say it isn't dicks that they dislike, it's the hairy, stinky, lazy, and flat chested men that are attached to them.
  8. If that one in the article is 112 then those you are holding are probably 400 years old. How dare you! 😏
  9. Yep, they show up here in the creeks usually after a flood near the beginning of the white bass run. They get in a riffle and raise all kinds of hell. They won't bite a fly, and you'll only snag ONE before you decide to cast elsewhere.
  10. I ordered a jon boat console once, and received a woman's purse instead. It was ugly, my wife didn't want it. I called, pitched a fit, they sent me my console....and told me to keep it or throw it away. I gave it to Orion to chew on. We got a kick out of watching him carry a purse around for a couple days. 😅
  11. That one isn't all that big. If size is any indication of age then there are some in this lake that are as old as the Osage river is. I've always thought it was odd that I never see little ones. I never see a buffalo (or a carp for that matter) that is smaller than 20-22". Why is that? And only once in my life can I remember seeing a baby gar. He was a cute little bugger too. 🤗
  12. From some lame @$$ I'm a warrior website. 5 people on the grocery store property in Boulder CO. were carrying firearms. Nobody SAVED THE DAY.
  13. Ok, so now it's my turn to say why everyone constantly carrying a gun out in public is a bad idea. Let's look at the other things that we carry in public everyday...... Cell phone, Wallet, Keys. Which of those have you never dropped, misplaced, or been otherwise careless with ? Sure, you didn't drop or misuse it the first day you carried it, but for each day thereafter the probability of you being momentarily careless with it Increases. Am I wrong? If you choose to walk around being a warrior at all times, then by god don't you forget that you are a warrior. Stay on your toes and never relax and forget that your job today, and everyday, is to be a warrior. Don't "chill".
  14. I have no hands-on experience with them yet, but was under the impression that a power cut-off switch prevented operation unless the motor was in the fully deployed position..... To prevent someone from stowing the motor while in spot- lock, drifting out of position, and cutting their hand off.
  15. About 10 years ago I decided I was going to join in on the carp flyfishing gig. Tied up a bunch of flys, started stalking them on the flats, and finally did everything right on a 12-14 pounder. After that was over with, I definitely wasn't in the mood to go after ANOTHER one. Still have a whole box full of carp specific flys somewhere that I'll happily give away.
  16. That whole... Not being able to lift it up to get out of a shallow snag... would be a deal breaker for me. What are you supposed to do, carry a push pole?
  17. The Pros:. They are simple in design, easy to troubleshoot, easy to repair, and are actually pretty reliable if you maintain them well and don't try to overwork them. The Cons:. As with all things associated with Mercury Marine, many parts are NLA (no longer available), and the parts that are still available are 3x more expensive than they have any business being. The only TRUE P.O.S. was the 5 cylinder inline 150 (avoid those basturds like the plague) The 2, 3, and 4 cylinder Force motors are a tad low on power.....but they will push a boat until you can save up enough for something better.

  19. That's some rediculous crap right there. I mean..... WHY?
  20. I don't think you are understanding what I'm telling you to do. That black vinyl "sock" that the two wires are inside of.......Split it and cut it out of there (just be careful to not cut into the wires). Once that crap is removed the 2 wires will pull right out of that fancy unreplaceable grommet.
  21. Just take a razor knife, split and peel away that stiff old wire loom down to where the splice is....then pull the wires right out. You can tape the old loom back together if you're in love with it, or put in a new fresh piece of loom.
  22. I must disagree. I find it way quicker to make 2 sealed butt splices than I do installing a 5-piece male plug assembly. That loom with those TM leads inside of it slipped easily into that grommet when it was all fresh slick and stretchy. 😊
  23. BTW: Which do you think has the bigger carbon footprint in it's manufacturing and service lifetime......A 1985 Evinrude 150...... or a 2021 Mercury-Yamaha-Suzuki fuel injected 75hp 4-stroke ?
  24. Nothing will ruin your day quicker than a G°¶¶^€∆£¶ 24v trolling motor plug receptacle. Hardwire is the way to go!
