  1. The forum is GREAT advertisement for Lilly's Landing. I'm surprised that your accountant doesn't just write it off. I know that everytime anyone around my place mentions going to Taney overnight......I ALWAYS recommend that they check-in with you first. And also request that they take a treat for Jackson 😁 I'm sure the rest of the guys here do the same. I may be a PIA but I promise that you get your money's worth outa me. 😉 So stop crying about "a year with no revenue".......I don't even wanna hear that BS 🙄 😁
  2. They are spotty around here. You can travel miles of shoreline and not see any, then all of a sudden there will be a 30 yard stretch that every tree/bush will be covered in them. The ducks and geese seem to be the first to locate them. The fish don't seem to care at all. 🤷‍♂️
  3. We were at my Dad's one X-mas and his pointer bird dog was laying in the middle of the floor polishing his nutsack feverishly. My uncle says "God I wish I could do that".....and my dad said "Lay down there and pet him for a little bit first, and I bet he'll let ya". 😉
  4. Yeah! I swear, if I see one more Tackle Max ad...... I'm gonna puke ! 😅
  5. Checks to a 1940 1.8hp.
  6. Easy now ! I'll be the first to admit that if I could lick my own balls..... I'd never leave the house. 🤷‍♂️
  7. This should be a fun discussion. 😅
  8. Can you show us the pattern that's doing well ? What size hook is it tied on?
  9. My dog treats me better than my kids, and my wife does. So there's that.
  10. "If something happens to me, who will care for the WORMS?" You are a true angel of mercy, Oneshot. That one almost made me cry. Stop it!!! 😢
  11. Well the May-flowers have already bloomed and died. June blooms only consist of poison ivy and mimosa. 😅
  12. Are you asking....How do I know that the fish are highly unlikely to become selective to specific Cicada imitations? Deductive reasoning, coupled with 40+ years of experience tying flys and eventually catching fish consistently, here in this region. As ridiculous as it might seem, the larger the food item that trout get keyed into eating.....the less selective they always are. Fish eating little 22-18 bugs typically get way more selective (or picky) than fish eating Mice, Hoppers, ect. Throw 'em a Boogle Bug ! 😉
  13. I bet there's a Karen just waiting to pounce on the first one to crawl out of the ground! "Oh NO YOU DON'T, Mister...... You've been SERVED"!!!!! 🙇
  14. I'm not sure if this lil'tidbit is gonna come across as "Helpful" or if it's going to hurt somebody's feelings....... But the fish in Taneycomo are highly unlikely to become SELECTIVE on Cicadas. So don't get too hung up on that. The water is clear enough that no SPLAT is needed to "ring the dinner bell", or for them to notice your fly. The Cicadas might get them looking up, and taking bigger bites though, so don't hesitate to drift a #8 or #6 Stimulator, Royal Wulff, Chernobyl Ant, Oversized Crackleback.....or anything else you can reasonably tie onto 4x or 3x tippet. 👍

I've got an upper lip like that 😂
  16. I can hear them singing off in the distance, but there were none on my property until a guy came pulling a boat in that had about 20 of them crawling around in it. They hang onto carpet really well. I ain't cleaning them out so....... 😉
  17. Just take the Blue Pill. In the grand scheme of things it truly doesn't matter. 👍

According to him, his root is comparable in size to a 4 y/o's arm. 🤷‍♂️

And you've been bragging about how hung you are ever since. 🙄 "Artificially" my foot! You probably bruised her cervix.
  21. Decoded: "My neighbor is putting a squirt of freon in it." 👍
  22. Did you get a lien-free title with it, or is this one of those hillbilly acquisitions?

Whatever it is, it appears to be morphing.
