    I can run Barclay up to Bennett on the Niangua with a 20hp prop outboard on a 16' Jon boat, at all but the lowest flows. There's 5 spots where I have to hop out and pull over some short extremely shallow spots.... mostly because of overhanging trees....but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Prosperine up to Ho-Humm, and Leadmine up to Blue Spring is easily doable also. 15-18" is all you actually need.

    Being naked isn't the main desire. The REAL desire is having nothing that needs to be done..... including shaving, and putting on clothes. 😊 I want the life that my dog has. Lucky bastard!

    I'm going through a mental phase right now, where all I truly want is some time where I have nothing that I absolutely need to do. Just stand on the porch deck, butt naked, with a box of donuts, and watch the clouds go by👍 No phone calls or text messages. No driving. No conversation. Just Peace! 🥰

    It's hard for some folks to admit that they dislike something that they paid too much for. The Bubba batteries are great, I can clean 3 messes of fish on a single charge....no need for the extra battery. But that POS is slow, and the gap between the blades is excessive, so it doesn't saw through rib bones very efficiently. Ok for Crappie I suppose.....but what knife isn't? 🙄 I can clean a mess of crappie with a butter knife.

    My parents divorced when I was 15. Mom never remarried, but Dad did. When my dad passed away, 27 years later, my mom started getting paid. She didn't need it, and I'm sure it pissed off my step-mom...... but that's the way it works I guess. 🤷‍♂️

    The big ones around here have a iridescent glowing spot on their belly. Alien creatures that I don't think I've ever seen before. Had to sacrifice one to get a pic of it's underside.

    My fisheries biologist friend is working with Meramec now. He listens to my rants.....and seldom denies anything about them 😅 He's a big bearded redheaded peckerwood. If you see him loafing about, tell him that Fishinwrench said "GET BACK TO WORK"!

    Anything smaller is susceptible to sucking up small pebbles, jamming up the jet pump, and causing you to have to paddle back to the trailer. 35+HP has enough torque at idle to go ahead and chew those tiny little pebbles up and spit them right out. 👍

    It should be enough to at least survive on, but I don't know of anywhere that I could live on 800.00/mo. Not even in a van down by the river. 😔

    Unless I suffer a severe laceration, or a broken bone, I'll place my bets on being a self-healer. And yeah I'm covered there. Don't have much faith in the medical community otherwise.

    I'm unclear on how much "work" I'll still be allowed to do while still drawing SS, but when I do the math, and consider the potential inflation, I can't imagine it would be worthwhile to wait. Holding off for another 5 years only increases the monthly amount by 400.00 ......which wouldn't even cover my phone bill 😅
