  1. So that you can pop it back on and all of your modes and settings will be saved.
  2. The Lowrance units kill the power. I wondered the same thing so I put a voltmeter on the battery to see if the voltage draw stopped when I hit standby.....it does. Shuts down but saves all the settings.

    Baby

Break out that Hatsan ! How do you bait those peckerwoods? I never see them when I'm close to my guns. We have 7-8 around here and so far I've only got to shoot two
  4. Most don't know this but the F/S boats have more robust transoms. The only downside to them is usually a crappy rod box and they aren't built stout enough up front to support a big heavy badass trolling motor. A way more comfortable ride than a straight bass boat, always.
  5. The deep slow hole immediately above Prosperine access has a few channel cat swimming in it. And I would expect the hole by the Leadmine ramp to have some as well. I caught a 5-6lb. flathead a few years ago in the riffle at Mountain creek campground. I thought it was a world record Hellbender at first.
  6. Just what you need. Something for a hot Smallie to wrap you around right before he gives up and submits. 👍 Free the fighter, baby!
  7. As long as you boat-flip or net your own fish, you're ok. If you're power-poled down and hollering for your net man..... Queer as a 3 dollar bill.
  8. If you see a bassboat with twin power poles......same deal. 🤣
  9. My wife's aunt/uncle had a home in Oregon. The smoke got so bad that they had to leave. Hopped in their RV and headed for Nebraska. 2 days later they got the call. It's gone. All they have for now is what they took with them.
  10. It's kinda corny. Figured everyone had seen it though.
  11. Don't forget to tip your waders.
  12. A cop like the one on Wild Hogs 😄 Marco ! ......
  13. They still have fruit shaped air fresheners to hang on your rear view mirror. My wife bought a pineapple because she thought it smelled lovely....which it actually did, but instead of hanging it on the mirror I tossed it under the seat. She didn't believe me when I told her why. Still doesn't.
  14. The 1400# refers to the holding strength of the ratchet cam. You'd have to have some serious guns to lift a 1400# object, and the crank arm divot would likely round out way before that.
  15. How come you never hear anything about AID's anymore? Did it just go away? What about Ebola? It go away too?
  16. Morone! Dude never listens 🙄
  17. Yep, exploding bushes too. Trump told us about those.
  18. I figured as much. The whole stupid thing is a scam. If it all settles down immediately after the election then you'll know for sure. And I hope people don't forget this BS. I know I won't.
  19. Exploding trees!
  20. When I was a youngun AP Green had a charge accidentally go off near a pallet of dynamite. It didn't set them all off but blew sticks everywhere. The crew would find them laying in the woods and keep them. Soon everybody around had a few......and boy did they ever have fun. 😅
  21. It sure does seem that clinics and such have something to gain by escalating Covid numbers. I doubt that they are being directly paid for a positive test result....but there's something going on.
  22. You have it flown in to the picnic table via drone? That's a service I'd like to have in my contacts list.
  23. It ain't the rivers fault. You get drunk BEFORE you fish. If you'd fish sober you'd do better. 😅
  24. I had a 1400 Winchester that I used in a doubles trap league. It started having a weird vibration and I found that the stock was cracked. Ordered a new stock and about 2 months later it did it again. I traded it off for a 1200 pump and never had an issue with that one. That 1400 auto just couldn't handle the repetitive firing I guess.
  25. I boycotted it for 5-6 years, but sometimes the river fishing just sucks balls. It's during those times that I like to go hit the park and practice techniques that I don't get to do very often elsewhere, like fishing drys, sight fishing, and swinging soft hackles. Get plenty of practice nymphing and fishing streamers in the river.
