I have to agree. My grandpa shot a guy in the arm for running his limb lines. And he wasn't what anyone would consider a violent person. How does "no tag" on a trotline effect you? It doesn't. I'm sure whoever set them has enough family members to justify the number of hooks. The tag thing is MDC BS, and you aren't on the payroll. Wanna run a trotline? Just rip the tag off first. Just loosen the gas cap a 1/2 turn. It doesn't have to vent THAT much. I doubt that improper venting is the cause.

What could that have ever been used for?

Because people keep changing the meaning of what they fly for, and what they represent. This one... was originally to honor officers that died while serving their community. And while to some it still does, it now also flys in representation of the special unspoken bond that all LEO's have that separates/elevates them from us lowly civilian's. 🙄 The only real reason to fly a flag of any design.....is to demonstrate your loyalty to a certain group.

For me, keeping gravel out is #1 and if you wear ankle socks inside your wet-wading shoes it fills the voids and helps....but your feet are gonna be soggy all day. After lots of slow-healing, partially infected puncture wounds, and multiple cases of trench foot I have finally discovered the answer..... 2 or 3 on the bottom of each foot before you go. Problem solved.
