Speaking of science....š
Who remembers when they were taking water samples from all over the lake, closing beaches, and issuing warnings lake-wide because of e-coli levels that were off the charts?
They feared it would hurt the economy, the lake was getting unfavorable press from the Globe and KC Star so they stopped testing. Nothing was actually done to cure the problem, it still exists as much or more than it ever did, we just don't talk about it anymore.
So all the money and effort spent on that giant project was a giant waste. It isn't in the news anymore so it is as if it never happened.
