It's because that's all they have to beat their drums about there. "We're Germans, We have some old school architecture still standing, and we make beer & Wine......So let's get drunk and celebrate it every chance we get". The river is NASTY. The cops are CROOKED. Everybody is screwing each others wives & husbands. And once a week they all drive to Wentzville or Washington to buy food and clothes. 🙄

There's a dude around here that does some of the coolest tricks you've ever seen with his cane. And just when you think you've seen it all, he pulls off another one. Opens beers. Catching and THROWING frisbees. Picking flowers. Picks up rocks, tosses them up, and smacks them like a baseball. Dude could probably tie his shoes, using nothing but his cane.

Funny thought...... Just in that short little video clip at 1:am before the collapse, that bridge revenue likely adds up to more $ than all of us put together made today. How does THAT make you feel ? I'm good for a little under 600.00 after expenses. That's for the whole day. Chicken feed ! The next time somebody pisses & moans about their bill, I'm going to remind them that it only amounts to a couple trips across the Scott Key bridge.....So stop your whining!!! 😉

Holy crap, you're right ! What in the Sam Hell ? And they immediately stated that the bridge was "Completely up to code". 😲 I assumed that it took out the supporting piling.....but it didn't. Hell, a little tremor could have done the same thing. I'm about to develop Bridge phobia here! 😬

The livescope gear-fishers have been sacking them up pretty good for over a month.....and still are. I've been wanting to go flyfishing for a couple messes, but every single day the wind has been blowing like crazy......so I still haven't been. Soon, I hope.

7 minutes is all the warning they had. Sounds like plenty of time at first....But then you consider that phone calls had to be made....and then guys that were in the middle of doing something else needed to stop immediately and act accordingly. Thankfully it was at 1:00 am, and not during rush hour. 😲 Can you even imagine....! Something like that could easily happen around STL with barge traffic. I'm surprised it hasn't already.

Probably not. But he darn sure wouldn't have succeeded without it. I think your champion would have been Hank Cherry for the 3rd time, had FFS not been a factor. He and Lee Livesay both admitted to never turning it on, and they both finished high.
