We can do better than 25/hr in your case it sounds like. I can handle the serious tech work, it's the bilge/livewell pump swaps, control and steering cable swaps, switches/lights/gear lube changes, trailer crap....Ect. ect. that I need help keeping up with. Nickles are holding up the dimes around here....If you knowhatimean.
-
Exactly! Around here we talk about fishing or fixing boats. I don't wanna hear about your ex wife, your current girlfriend, your kid that's on probation, or your retarded siblings.
-
And if you need even more money during the week and have some decent mechanical skills I'll pay you 25.00/hr. flat rate to start. Flexible on times and hours, but keep all of your girlfriend/children/family drama to yourself. ?

Well, the main reason for the number of heavy 5 bass bags is that all of the bigger fish from this 54,000 acre pond are being relocated to a few certain locations. Throw them all in a 1500 acre city lake and you'll set some records there too.

I'm certainly not going to knock what BB has going on, if he is making money then he is being successful. As for the fishermen.....If they are spending real estate prices for boats, thousands on sonar equipment, and thousands more every year on new baits..... I'm not gonna pick on them for spending 45 bucks a year for networking. I'm lucky because of what I do for a living, I get to network with tons of good fishermen and get fresh details daily. To say that it helps a little would be an understatement. It helps ALOT. I gotta admit though that most of the best bass info comes from crappie and catfishermen that mention running across schools of bass. They are usually irritated by it, but when you are a bass fisherman their info can be solid gold. The most useful information isn't specific details, but rather little tidbits that put ideas in your head. More times than not those ideas end up working great.

That steady SSE wind today made my home stretch like a trip across Lake Michigan. So many places I wanted to fish but just couldn't, so I stuck strictly to little protected backends and caught 3 good ones totaling 8-12.

I have disassembled alot of old boats, and sometimes the lower 2-3 inches of foam will be soggy. The actual weight of all the soggy foam, when put into a 5 gal. bucket, can easily be lifted with one hand.
-
Um..... Don't sink the boat ! ? How does all of the rest of the foam in the boat keep from getting waterlogged? Keep the bow elevated.
-
Just make some slits in the carpet with a razor knife, drill a few 3/8" holes through the floor, shoot in a can or two of expanding foam, and set some concrete blocks on the area so it doesn't puff it up too much. That will firm up that soft spot real well.

Not sure what insulator you are referring to. At the TM power plug? Unless the contacts were touching (and it would either trip the breaker or be on fire if they were) then there can be no draw on the battery. But you still need to fix that for sure. An AGM battery cannot be "load tested" ......Well it can, but you're not really learning anything by doing so. If you are loosing power quicker than normal, yet the battery seems to charge back up rather quickly then the battery(s) are at the end of their life. Be sure to check behind the TM prop for fishing line and check to see that the prop can spin freely by hand. Any stiffness indicates that something is robbing you of power and causing the motor to overwork.
-
If you have no other issue besides a soggy spot in the floor I can tell you how to fix that real easily. Unless your Champ is a 1980 or earlier model then the likelyhood of rotten stringers is very low.

Let's talk about "our grandchildren". One of the biggest things we can do to help ourselves right now is for families, without even the means to support 2 adults, to STOP BREEDING! If you are worried about the future of offspring then for crying out loud stop making so many !

The way I see it we are in a huge productivity slump and we are screwing ourselves by trying to "save the planet" when none of the other countries are following suit or even lending a hand. So there are only 2 ways to fix this....Either kill off a bunch of us to reduce the population, or regain productivity (by whatever means) until the leaders of the world can come together and team up. Harsh, but that's the reality of it. I mean, what are the other options ? The bottom line is that we as a country are not in a position right now to "set the stage" and hope that other countries will follow our lead. There are just too many mouths to feed.

That's gotta be nothing but pulverized grissel. You'll be able to ---- through a screen door tomorrow.
-
As long as the nail/screw didn't break any of the belted wires going in you're fine with a plug. The problem is.....How do you know? When a few wires get broke they start unraveling, and it's only a matter of time before it blows to pieces like a hand grenade at 60+mph.
-
Your dad is an awesome guy! Let's do a day on the lake sometime. ??
-
It still should spin. Just weakly.

Constant usage. You answered your own question. Outboards that are used more frequently have way fewer issues. Fuel goes bad, rubber components deteriorate, batteries go dead from sitting and create excess heat in the ignition and charging circuits, ect. If you only started your truck as often as your outboard, and then when you did start it you ran it on old fuel at 5000+ RPM.......Trust me, your truck would be a constant source of headaches. My most frequent customers are the folks that only use their boat 3-5 times per year. The customers I seldom see are the dock builders that run the living crap out of their boats day after day after day, and are about as hard on them as possible. It's true. When a boat comes in here it will almost always have mud dauber nests on it. When was the last time your car/truck just sat unused long enough for mud daubers to build a nest on it ? Bottom line:. If your outboard causes you excessive grief then you need to have it fixed RIGHT.... And then start fishing alot more !

I got my base burn today. Doesn't sting yet but I'm pretty pink.
-
Well that's kinda stupid. The bait hasn't even had a chance to prove itself yet. Basically it's nothing more than a twin spin, and I know twin spins are allowed. Personally I'm beginning to doubt that the PDL bait is going to be worth its oats.

When I got to the Gravi ramp it was packed, but everyone except the Crappie porcupine rigs must have ran out of there. I don't get those crappie guys drifting over 30-40' of nothing looking water (mud flat) with 8 poles spidered. I've watched them for quite awhile and they never seem to catch anything out there, but they'll drift out there for hours and then come back tomorrow and do it again. They are either way smarter than I am.....or dumber than a sack of hammers. That's like THE last place I would ever look to find a mess of crappie.
-
The stretch between Competition and Falcon is better IMO than the stretch below Falcon.
-
They are called "test runs", and they are a write off

Cut the bill off square (ahead of the line tie). Buy a new wart, cut the bill off the new one and epoxy it on the old one. Or use the bill off a junk one that you don't like.

Big ol' guts on 'em ! I love fishing in the Spring.
