Man, that bug thing IS a bit ridiculous isn't it ?
It was like that on a Canadian trip we took when I was a kid. Not sure how long a person would have to live up there in order to get "used to that".
If more folks learned that you can do that with spoonbill in the creeks during Spring I think it would really start something. 😉
Spoonbill on a fly rod are a hoot !
Honestly the only time you might notice any tracking issues are going to be very windy days.... when you don't wanna be out there in a square nose jon boat anyway.
Yep, easier to launch & load too. And doesn't impede vision.
Plus, running your TM wiring harness along the port side keeps it from interfering with any dash mounted electronics, or anything else on the Starboard side.
Folks do realize that with exception to the winter C&R at the trout parks, no trout stamp is required, anywhere, unless they are keeping trout to eat/mount right ?
They don't require you to present a fishing license before giving you a daily tag anymore. Just throw 5.00 on the counter.....and they'll throw down a tag.
In all honesty, if 40.00 stops them then they weren't very committed to begin with.
Whatever they decide to do instead....is likely gonna cost 3 times that.
The really cool part is that fly was buzzing around my plate of Tater Tot Casserole, and out of nowhere here comes Mr. Robber fly..... and snatched that lunch pest right out of mid-air !
Landed with him.....and started munching on his head. 😲👍
I've done it. #12 Mohair leech, right in the face. They fight harder than you'd think, but it couldn't break 5x tippet.
I tried to kindly release it, but he wouldn't settle down.....so he got heel stomped 😔
Woah ! 👍
I'll pay you if you can teach MY daughter that part !
She doesn't seem to understand "Stop just as soon as the fender goes underwater"
The fender of the TRAILER......NOT THE FENDER OF THE G-D TRUCK ! 😲
She's a mirror atheist..... Doesn't believe in them. 🙄 A well paid engineer mind you. Thinks my truck is a submarine.
The bullhead where I grew up had yellow meat. Just didn't seem like anything I wanted to cook & eat when there were other choices.
Caught a flathead from the Missouri River once that had yellow meat, it also had a 8" piece of auto door weatherstripping in its belly, and the meat smelled a hint of diesel fuel...... It never made it to the grease either.
