  1. Are you sure ? It was my understanding that anything that grows in the absence of sunlight can't be very beneficial as a food source.
  2. Ha! You forget what (who) you're dealing with. Of course it's NLA......but even when it wasn't Mercury's price was about 600.00 🙄
  3. Mushrooms can be delicious if buttered or battered, and salted......but is there any significant protein or nutritional value to them at all ? Or are the edible ones just something to fill your gut up with?
  4. In 1987 they installed bilge pumps, livewell pumps, steering and control cables, ect. knowing full well that they'd have to be serviced some day. The way they design & assemble boats now is as if they assume the plumbing, fuel hose, gauges, fuel level sending units and steering & control cables will outlast the hull. They call it C.A.D. and they are really proud of it. You should see what all has to be done in order to install new control cables or steering components on a Bentley tri-toon. Pretty much have to completely disassemble half of the boat, from the helm console to the transom.
  5. Awe c'mon. Instead of walking in calmly and being all polite, just march in there like you own the place and start shouting orders. "Where'd ya move the darn light bulbs to ?" I love places where I don't feel the need to be on my best behavior. 👍
  6. Depends on the boat. You'd think you'd be able to do it without needing stitches and a tetanus shot too......but sadly that's not always the case. 🙄 I should start posting pics of some of these bilge compartments.... because apparently you've only seen the nice friendly ones. Tritons, Stratos, newer Rangers and most any fish-ski with dual tanks are often a friggin nightmare. What kinda cool baton tricks are YOU capable of doing one-handed with a deep cycle battery..... while trying not to get mashed by the compartment lid with the other hand......and balancing on one knee ?
  7. A word or two in defense of my brethren out there...... Don't bring us some pristine craft needing a livewell pump/or valve replacement that requires removal of 3-4 batteries, an onboard battery charger, 2 fuel tanks, and an oil reservoir.....and expect us to get that done without leaving a speck on the carpet!!! We always do our best to not unnecessarily trash a boat..... but there's a limit to how much patience we have, and how much you are willing to pay to have the job done. You do piss off the side of this thing, right ? And fart while you're driving it? It's a goddamn fishing boat, you ain't cruising for chicks in it ! It ain't our fault, or concern, that you spent 50-60k on it and expect it to look showroom fresh until the loan is paid off. 😉
  8. 15 min. = 31.25 just about anywhere. You say "just pull them out/set them in"....but batteries in a boat need to be strapped down or secured. Always takes longer than it looks like it will.
  9. Yeah that game could be played in a 14' Jon boat. No need for twenty foot of fiberglass and a 250 outboard.
  10. THAT'S what I'm talking about ! 👍 Now take them both out and see which one gets eaten the most. 😉
  11. A government employee that builds barns?
  12. Ya think??? My claim: "It was starting easily and running smoothly when she picked it up. I have no control over what has been done to it since then". 🤷‍♂️ "Someone could have hooked a battery up backwards and blown the voltage regulator, or they could have filled up with bad fuel, or forgotten to add oil. She saw me start & run it when she picked it up and was perfectly pleased at that time........So whaddya want ME to do NOW Judge ?". Closing statement: "I'd like to have it noted that Y'all are wasting my time, and I get 135.00/hr.".
  13. Offering me a position with your company? I'm flattered, Thanks! 🤗 What spot might I fill, what is the starting wage, and what days will I have off ? I hope that COVID vaccines aren't mandatory! Surely your company pays and treats its employees well enough that I won't feel compelled to fuel up my whole family's fleet on the company card. Besides.....be mindful of who you're battling wits with, cuz I've seen that company car of yours in my driveway after hours 😂 Matter of fact I still have the bottle of paint thinner that you delivered. Or....a replica thereof 😉
  14. So that was REAL hu ? I'd have lost that bet. I figured it was a planted story to keep guys honest. Sure glad that me and my amber mohair leech never got to meet that dude. 😇
  15. There ya go😅 Your legal restitution is......You can write a song about it. 😂😂😂 And sing it as loud as you want.
  16. I'm sorry, but "company policies" are not enforced by the city, county or state. Only by the company. They can withhold future payments through agreement, or fire the individual and through a civil suit file to have a lien put on any tax returns. That's the extent of a companies authority for breech of policy. Unless, as I said earlier, the person admits to stealing......which would then escalate the offence to an actual punishable "crime". You might be amazed at what a person can "get away with" by exercising their right to remain silent. As a resident of Camden co. Holy crap, haven't you been paying attention to all the stuff going on up there at the courthouse? 😅. My God what a mess!!! And... and .. and.... Remember all the breech of policy crap when the Amphitheatre was being built....and then re-built ? Nobody went to jail. And Elliot Fence & Glass, among a couple others, just had to swallow a HUGE LOSS with no legal recovery. Ha! A couple thousand on a gas card is some really REALLY small potatoes to the level of legal gymnastics that happens daily in the business world. Our favorite ex-president even wrote a book about it. 😁
  17. "it".... meaning The Law ? Oh yeah it does. Providing the accused doesn't freely admit, or it can be proven, that they gained access to the account fraudulently.
  18. I remember hearing tales about a Arkansas F&G agent that kept a pair of pantyhose in his pocket to check barbless hooks on the White. Was that actually true ?
  19. Well tied, looks clean. 👍 That whole Pointy Nose thing you've got going on with your streamers might cast better.....but won't fish better These aren't technically "Murdich", but they are examples of what the head of the fly should be like. Please don't take my criticism the wrong way, just trying to offer up some solid tips..... assuming that you actually plan to fish those rascals. ✌️ Think of the hydraulics of it. As the fly is pulled through the water, that fat dense head pushes water out of the way.....And during pauses that water collapses behind the head, causing the rear of the fly to come to life. 👍 Pointy nose flys really only have lifelike action when being swung across a current.
  20. If the "company" allowed that to go on long enough to add up to "thousands" then that charge (if actual charges were filed) will get thrown out. Just needs to keep his mouth shut. The "company" is responsible for who they allow to use their credit accounts, and if it took them that long to catch it then their book keeper needs to be reprimanded. On the barn deal......if there's no contract then he has his whole life to finish the construction. Again, just needs to keep his mouth shut. The reason the court dockets are so full is because they are filled with stupidity. And it's wasting tax payer dollars.
  21. How does one steal thousands of dollars worth of gas ?
  22. I've seen 2. Both in Camden county, and it's been 18 years since the most recent. One was a big tan colored cat easing along the bank in brushy creek (purvis), and the other was much darker with large body, ridiculously long tail, but a rather small head. Panther-Like.....and it was not intimidated by the noise of multiple chainsaws one bit. Outside of Laurie off O rd. On both sightings I have guys that can back it up. No hallucinations or mistaken identity. Nevertheless I've enjoyed living my entire life knowing that I was THE apex predator in the Missouri woods......and I'd kinda prefer to keep it that way. 👍
  23. It "returned" after initially eating its asshole. Such a regal puss!
  24. Why wouldn't that Elk be considered "livestock" ?
