  1. Me? Say something rude? OMG, imagine that ! 😂 I wasn't trying to insult you, or say anything rude. Did you miss THIS part......"As much as I'd like to congratulate the young man.....that just AIN'T shooting" ?
  2. Oh no, no, no.......I wasn't going THERE ! I'm sure he's wicked good with that highly tuned, form fitted, INSTRUMENT. I suck at off-hand shooting (we've discussed that before). But then again, if I had a perfectly fitted INSTRUMENT with a tuned trigger, and was only shooting repetitively at 12 yards, and I could lay off the coffee and diet coke for a few days......I might be able to beat YOU 😁
  3. I love badminton....HERE AT THE HOUSE. I've never even played on a nice level court. Uneven ground, tree limbs, bushes, and a giant cactus are what REALLY make it the official sport of the Sims family. 😁
  4. As much as I'd like to congratulate the young man.....that just AIN'T shooting. Repetitive, known distance, ping-ping-ping....with an instrument (ok "rifle") that is form fitted to his body while wearing a certain shirt with a certain collar. Ho Humm 🥱
  5. I really wanted to love break barrel rifles, and I actually could if someone could build a good scope that could take the beating. There's just something about heading out into the woods knowing that the very next shot could easily be the one that scrambles the cross-hairs......just turns me against them. I've had so much scope trouble that I simply can't depend on break barrel rifles anymore. And no I don't buy cheap/cheesy scopes....they are all good ones. Even though the manufacturer keeps standing behind them and replacing them, I still know that I'm always one shot away from catastrophe. PCP's or pumpers are the way to go.
  6. None taken. I don't have a good automotive shop to take my trucks to either. All these guys buying newish outboards.....they don't have a decent service center either. None exist. Because of the new age motors..... it's impossible to make an honest living by repairing them. They are not designed to be troubleshooted and repaired. They are designed to be scrapped and replaced. Why? Because 88% of their sales is coastal (saltwater) and the motors will only last 7-9 years anyway.....so what's the point. Johnson/Evinrude was the only company that catered to freshwater boaters, and built outboards that would last. Sadly they are gone now.
  7. He treated you better than I would have. 👍 I'd gladly teach him how to avoid filing those stupid quarterlies on his parts. Depends on the job, and the YT channel. There are a few good ones, but seriously, who has the time to figure out which ones those are? If I had a buck for every time I've straightened out something that has been YouTubed it would buy my family a nice dinner. Works pretty good for some things, but outboards are just queer enough to require a certain kind of rationalization.
  8. These old Snappers are a marvel of engineering. I just love them. The wet grass thing truly IS a THING, but your not supposed to cut wet grass anyway, so.....
  9. Yep. This is the heart of a 15 year old one. Figured I might as well put a new one on it, so I got one......But hell, this one looks like it would have gone another 15.
  10. They never show up when they are supposed to. And I like mowing, it's therapeutic.
  11. Naw, it's the 12.5 OHV Briggs. Plenty of power. The only thing I dislike is it has a safety block that won't let you mow in reverse. I'll be terminating that real soon. Previous owner named her Cindy. But that reverse safety thing is her vagina.....and she'll be loosing that (sex change?). She even has electric start, which I didn't know about until I got there. Paid 500.00 for her.
  12. I never had any trouble finding/catching enough crappie to satisfy my needs. Even way back when I had cheesy equipment and didn't know anything about fishing. I hate to knock it, to each their own, but I truly can't understand how guys can get so ate up with chasing crappie. Even the big barn-door sized ones don't fight. I always kinda figured that crappie were put on this earth for Women and Children, and for people who really don't like to eat fish..... Easy to catch, they fillet like butter, and no "fishy taste". I'll go out and get a couple messes in the Spring, Fall, or Winter.....and then I'm done with them.
  13. It's already got a 4-stroke on it, ya numbnuts! A REAL one. Not one of those plastic valved outboard style POS's
  14. She's mine. All MINE ! I'll never let this one get away from me. 🤗 Complete restoration forthcoming. I may even hotrod it a bit. 👹 I don't know when I've ever been more excited. 😁
  15. Mike is a wicked good crappie fisherman. Never known him to spend much time on Whites or anything else though, with exception to the occasional catfish outing. Honestly, Lake O has at least one badass crappie killer living in every cove. Mike Baker definitely has his video editing skills dialed in. He has fun with it.
  16. What difference would it make ? By the assumption that just because you had verbal permission, you then were allowed legal protection for your own stupidity....is rediculous. The "land owner" could always say that NO YOU DIDN'T. You misunderstood. Who gives WRITTEN permission to access their land? Nobody, ever.
  17. When in the history of EVER has a landowner been sued by someone they allowed to fish on their property ? I've heard that crap 1000 times, but has it ever actually happened? I bet not. I've ripped some wicked gashes in my hide crossing fences, hurt my legs falling in holes, and such....but never once did it occur to me that I should seek legal action against the landowners. Surely that isn't a REAL thing that actually happens often.
  18. It's the little things 🙄 Don't use WIRE NUTS ! (DIY guys LOVE wire nuts). Coat all butt splices with liquid tape, or shrink boot them. Make sure all wires are tie strapped to something solid so the wiring isn't flopping around rubbing on anything. Make sure the proper circuit breaker is PROPERLY installed. Make sure battery connections are clean and tight, and for Gods sake throw away the WING NUT'S and use real nuts and washers. Use big stainless fender washers under the mounts to spread the mounting load, and use stainless aircraft nuts, not lock washers. Avoid mounting the unit where the head of the TM hangs out over the gunnel when stowed. There are several other ways to install a TM improperly, but those are the biggies.
  19. That obstacle course that you have to drive through before crossing the wooden bridge.....is hands down the stupidest thing I have ever seen built on a road ANYWHERE I HAVE EVER BEEN. Honestly, the person who designed it needs to be demoted to bathroom detail, and the person who approved it needs to just be FIRED and never given a positive reference, because THAT PERSON shouldn't even be given a job as a bagger in a grocery store.
  20. Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings that are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the problems that plague this country. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the truth that 545 people exercise the power of the government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these people shift the blame elsewhere. Do not let them con you into the belief that there exists these mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. 🤔
  21. "For better or worse, richer or poorer"......Tell her to suck it up, she signed up for this !
