They certainly are. They are making a terrible mess too. Does that mean that I can shoot them?

Elk fork and/or Middle fork of the Salt are rivers you seldom hear anything about because they are not considered "Ozark rivers", but you can pretty much check off everything on your list. If you don't like what you're seeing.....just round another bend and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. Slow muddy pools, then gravel, then slab rock and boulders with faster current...then back to mud/clay for a bit. Not at all a "high crime area" either. I grew up there and don't get back nearly as often as I'd like. LM, SM, White bass, Walleye, Catfish, Bluegill, White Crappie, Gar, Carp..... But no Goggle-eye, no spotted bass, no hybrid stripers, and NO Asian carp π Odds are you won't see another floater, and if you do they'll be friendly. Oh, and be sure to throw something Yellow π

Excellent answer! I can respect that. π First hand faith in a brand actually does matter.

I've done 6's in that fashion a half dozen times. What's another pound? ππ

A new Honda 9.9 ? Just gotta ask, what commercial (or ad), or experience you had/saw, that put that crazy idea into your head ? Are we trying to piss off Dad again? π

I don't consider myself to be the sharpest tool in the shed, but nothing the government, or any of it's alphabet groups, has done lately seems very smart. Even by MY standards. And definitely none of it seems to be in my best interest. So I'm gonna pass on taking their advise for as long as I'm legally able to, or until I'm convinced otherwise.

I just learned something. I wasn't aware that you couldn't do Covid orally.....ya gotta snort it. Also I was under the impression that the virus couldn't live through HEAT. So if the little bugger gets sucked into the fresh air return, blown through a filter, and then blown over heating coils.....then you shouldn't be able to get it via central heating. Of course I'm sure that I'm wrong. π

So, are you telling me that "Liphunter" doesn't mean what I thought ?

Ready for white bass season now!!

Gotta call BS on ya there. At a lake level of 653-654 the "first shoal" is 100- 200 yards wide across the flat with very low CFS and gin clear water. Even calling it a "shoal" is a bit of a stretch. I knew where the White were at this time.....and they were 2 1/4 miles away in 15 FOW, and were easier to snag in the side, than it was to get them to chase or bite anything. -
It's not MY idea. I don't even believe in a creator.....Much less think it was the birth of ME that caused the earth to exist....like some seem to think. If you need pharmacutical chemicals in order to survive in the world that you were born into.....then maybe it isn't meant to be. Alot of people are taking "medications" that they don't truly need.....but were cleverly sold. That's a fact. "You'll die if you don't take these pills/injections".......Really? Who says?

The person whose ears it falls on are what determine that.

This is the exact thing that is SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. This is how nature works. It might hurt to hear it, and it might be difficult to accept it, but our population is way out of balance. It's time to man-up and face the facts.....The carrying capacity for PEOPLE on this earth has been exceeded. Haven't you all noticed how hard it is to friggin BE ALONE? It shouldn't be so difficult, or near impossible, to be alone by yourself when you want to be. How long has it been since you spent a single 8 hour period without seeing or hearing another person. Have you ever in your lifetime? It's downright sad when you think about it. Meeting someone new should be a joyful experience, but instead it is just "yet another douchebag". There are so many people in each of our lives that we can't even keep track of them all. Is that the way you think it is supposed to be? I don't think so. We are like ants on a rotting stump, and red ants will never get along with black ants, no matter how hard you try to wash their brains. Accept reality and get over the BS.

Here on the Lake O tribs we have to wait until the lake gets above 657.2 Anything below that and the fish can't make the jump up into the creeks. There will be a bunch of eagles, hawks, and ospreys just waiting for one to try to squeeze through the 150 yards of clear ankle deep water. Very darn few will make it. -
Excellent point. It's likely to resemble all these ads from lawyers asking everyone who has used ROUNDUP weed killer in the last 16-18 years to contact them.

They are moving towards wireless RF controlled. A potential benefit in saltwater environment (no wires and fewer connections to corrode and fail) with a default shutdown (kill) if for any reason RF signal is lost. Drug runners, kidnappers, Guys that are late on payments, Drunk drivers, ect.won't have a chance because law enforcement and Repo agents will be able to jam the system from 1.5 miles away. Water patrol/Coast guard won't be turning on lights and pulling you over...... They'll just shut you down and pull up on ya. And yeah..... you're gonna pay an extra 11k+ at time of purchase for them to have that capability. Hope you get your money's worth. π -

I'm not going to be able to wait until April, so I'll be trying to intercept them before they even start running up the creeks. I've tried that in the past and failed...but I have some fresh new ideas and a renewed ambition. I know where they stage up before running up the creek, I've even been able to snag a few in the side. Just have never gotten them to bite good until they make the migration. I'll figure them out this year hopefully. -
I had a really good day trout fishing on New years day once too, but I was in shirt sleeves.... didn't even need a jacket until the sun went down. ππ

Oh, you know it. Just absolutely elated. π As a Mercury owner, do you feel proud or pissed.... that you helped fund all of the extensive R&D on this monster twin-screw POS via all those heavily overpriced replacement stators, compressors, voltage regulators, high pressure fuel pumps, and powerhead purchases? -
