  1. Well typically you can score some really good stuff pretty cheap as the vendors are showing off new stuff and liquidating the old stuff, but with the way Corona has made everything stupid, it's hard to say how it will be this year. Last year I loaded up on FishPond stuff for 1/3 of the regular price. RIO is dumping all of last year's lines pretty cheap because they have gone to a new "low stretch" core and super slick coating on all of their lines going forward. The old stuff is still awesome in my book.
  2. No I wouldn't drive that far to do ANYTHING, much less just to watch fishing videos on a big screen. We go to camp, fish, and chill. The weather is going to be perfect for it.
  3. If you see a yellow lab running around showing off a rock like he wants you to throw it....but not letting you...., he belongs to me, his nickname is Roo. The only way to get your hands on the rock is by FAIR TRADE, which has to be something more valuable or tasty than the rock. A new hat, a can cooler, a wading boot, or a half a sandwich.
  4. A moderate gathering of fly fishing folks, industry reps, and such. Pretty laid back. They put on a film tour show on Saturday evening if you're into that sort of thing, and a One-Fly competition if you're into that sort of thing. Several reps have pussed out....due to the pandemic this year....but I've been there every year since it started and it's always a casual good time.
  5. Still happening. We'll be there. I guess the stupid Holland derby is going on in the park Sat. & Sun. I'll be avoiding that ignorance.
  6. You should be worried about it too, it obviously happens ALOT. I know about more guys/gals that have suddenly become gay after being straight for 30-40 years, than I know about that have had the Corona virus. Talk about a pandemic that can change your life!!!
  7. Cut the plug off, replace the switch (because it's probably green and crusty inside too), and install spade connectors on each wire. Goop it up with liquid electrical tape when all back together. You can eliminate a potential fire there in the future by terminating the black wire to the switch. Its only purpose is to provide a ground to illuminate that tiny little light on the switch (that you don't need). You only need a red, a blue, and a green. If there's no ground then there's nothing for it to short out on.
  8. I'd have a problem eating anything called a shitake.
  9. I did some bass fishing yesterday and it was evident that the cooler weather had set in.....I had to go find a place to pee 3-4 times. Such a PIA on Lake O. In the summer I can go all day without pissing. In the winter I have to pee every 15 minutes. 🙄
  10. Golf tee and a zip tie.

Only if you're in the mood to skin and tan the hide. Actually only can use the 4-5" wide strip down the middle of the back. I'd buy you a tin of pellets in exchange. 😊

Aww😢 Poor little whistle pig. I see some fine fur strips for trout streamers there. 🤔
  13. I think so. Or they'll give you credit on baits. That #2 Aglia is a staple white bass killer in dirty water.
  14. Poor guy! I thought you looked kinda skinny the other day, why didn't you tell us you needed some food? 😄
  15. I love a big juicy Butterball, but I'd rather eat just about anything than a wild turkey. Yeah I know......I "haven't had it cooked right". 🙄 Why can't you just cook it like a Butterball ? Cuz it's nasty survival food, that's why. Protein that you MIGHT have to eat someday to keep from starving. I'm sure it will taste ok when on the verge of starvation, so that's when I'll have it again.
  16. Serve it with Mac & cheese, her favorite veggie, and favorite dessert. She'll wanna go again. 😊 Oh, and give her the tail after a shampoo and cream rinse bath.
  17. So much of that going on it would make you sick to your stomach. When my dad would take over a nursing home he would meet with the doctors and do a prescription inventory on every patient. He would always find them overly medicated and would give his famous speech to doctors, nurses and staff about how they weren't helping those folks live, they were just making them easier to care for while they wait for them to die. Then he would call families, explain the situation, the changes that would be taking place, and encourage them to visit more often if they could. If you have family in a care center, and they are keeping your old guys/gals heavily sedated and "pain free" instead of getting them up and getting them involved in little activities.....Then please go to the administrator and build a fire under his/her @$$ ! That's not what you are paying them for !
  18. Plenty of room for a socket there.
  19. Great. The churches imaginary characters are sending text messages to each other. Right.
  20. When you SHTF predictors say "when it all goes bad..." What are you expecting to have to shoot, people or animals? Either way you're better off with a 12ga.shotgun, so why is everyone stockpiling center-fire rifle and pistol cartridges?
  21. For the streams you are fishing I would go 8'6" fast 4wt. and either overline it, or go with a 4wt. SA/GPS or Rio Grand line.

Groundhogs are our mascots around here, they are protected.
  23. For the trolling motor, I don't see a downside, other than the initial cost. For a cranking battery, and to run all your accessories......I think the jury is still out. Outboard charging systems have always been persnickety, and they still are. The way that lithium batteries charge makes me wonder how well the stator/alternator is going to be able to stay cooled off. With lithium batteries the voltage regulator is not going to have the regular cool down cycles like they do with lead acid batteries. Those batteries will take every bit of amperage the charging system can put out, right up until the point that they are fully charged. So if the battery is run down pretty good, and you have a long run to make, I can visualize that outboard charging system totally melting down. I may be wrong, but we'll see. Surely they have tested it and determined it is safe, but I'm gonna wait and see before I personally take the chance with it.

Oh I don't want to trap them, I just wanna lure them in so I can shoot them in the head with a airgun.
  25. The link is dead. Is it a man eating spider web, or is it a man...eating a spider web ? 🤮
