  1. I did. And Thank You! My wife thought I ordered something on the sly because I headed to the shop with it. So she followed me out there and was all looking over my shoulder when I opened it, so I said "here put this in the Merc salvage tote, I traded a sexual favor for it". šŸ˜„
  2. Like I've said before, y'all put up with alot of crap from me ..... Gotta make it worth your while whenever I can. 😊
  3. Switch over to fly fishing and start all over again. 😊 My biggest Smallie was caught on a 7wt. with a #4 olive lead eyed bugger. If I've caught one over 18" on spinning/casting gear I can't remember it. Moving water just calls for fly gear in my brain, and that's probably why I don't catch more big river Smallies.
  4. Where's the fun in that ? I'm already taking 1.5" away from Smalliebigs for that open mouth. šŸ˜…
  5. I never thought of an auto measuring app. That could actually work. I use a leveling app to set motors and jackplates, shim decks on Jon boats, and center guages and steering helms. I even use it to optically center rifle scopes. It is spot on everytime.
  6. I don't know anything about the big bluegill there, but where I chase them it is an early EARLY Spring thing. For a couple weeks it's nothing but shoulders. After that the big bulls just disappear for the rest of the year.
  7. I've only caught one that extended to that magical 20 line or slightly beyond, and it's been quite awhile. Not many 20's where I fish. Went way north a few times and just knew I'd catch a biggun. Nope. My biggest is still a freak from the creek here at home.
  8. Yeah, I have 32 years worth of hand written journals. Way back a buddy compiled about 10 years worth of mine, and all of his combined, on FLOPPY DISKS. Guess how useful that is ? šŸ˜‚ Now I can just go back through the years and look at May's or June's and say "oh yeah I suddenly remember every detail of that flippin' bite".
  9. I've watched guys troll for crappie. The rod goes down (I mean we're talking crappie here, so don't expect it to GO DOWN), they grab the rod and start cranking.....and the crappie skitters across the surface. I mean for the love of all things, get a limit, and then go do something more exciting, like take a nap. How freakin' bored out of your skull do you have to be in order to look forward to doing that day after day after day...all Summer long? But they do! The same guys, nearly every day, out there pulling and pushing little crankbaits for hours upon hours. How many dang crappie can a guy possibly eat?
  10. It's total BS man. It's amazing, and disturbing, and downright scary.....what can be (and is being) done with people's brains.
  11. It's during the transition from waders to bare legs and soggy balls. It haunts me too. Only lasts a few weeks though.
  12. I ain't even telling what county my spot is in. 😊 It's an area that I own and will never have to pay taxes on. When I die, it ceases to exist.
  13. A journal would be good. I find that the best journal for me is simply a few dated pics. Once I see the pics I immediately remember everything I need to know about that day (or time period) short of lake/river level and water temp (if it matters). No need to type out a bunch of crap, just scan the June's of the past and boom....your head is automatically programmed with all past successes and failures during that season.
  14. 🤣 Jacked me up with that one! šŸ˜‚
  15. I watched the COE meeting last night, and they said they'd be lucky to have Truman down before the end of summer. Was concerned that it would be more like mid-winter.
  16. Yeah, near tournament release areas would be a good start.
  17. Flooded=good High and falling= terrible.
  18. Naw we have a good POTUS. I'd rather give Melania a run in her pantyhose. 😁
  19. No kidding. What, do they think a 10 spot is gonna change anyone's mind about whether they wanna fish there or not? Either hike the prices, or quit whining about lack of funding. Wasn't it 2 years ago that they laid off all the maids and landscaping employees(nobody to scrub bathrooms and empty trash cans)? WTF was that all about anyway. I wish they'd let me manage that place for a year or two....by God we'd do some actual quality improvements, grow some nice fish, and make some serious money!
  20. Unless a drought begins immediately Truman won't see 706.0 again before Thanksgiving. The lakes above Truman..... y'all are gonna be high all Summer too. Lovely Lake of the Ozarks will remain at normal pool with a steady transfusion going on all Summer long. This is why I chose to live here. 😊
  21. Just make it an even $10 and then do things RIGHT. Stop phucking around! 🤬
  22. Morgan, Miller, Camden, Laclede, Dallas. And sometimes Cole, Monitau, and Benton.
  23. Well thank you! I don't know about the rest of you, but my reason for coming here is entertainment. I told Krissy Poo this morning that y'all said I was FOS about the WiFi thing and she agreed with you. So I asked why she told me to try it, and she said that changing a major connection setting causes the phone to scan .....and often enables it to grab a signal that it ordinarily wouldn't catch, and it is faster than totally rebooting the phone. So there ya have it. KMA! šŸ˜‹
  24. I love this phone. I've always been a Motorola fan (brand loyalty). Plus it has an unbreakable screen, it's apparently waterproof enough, and doesn't overheat and go into HELP ME mode if left in the sun like my daughter's šŸŽ phone does. I'm sure it's not as good as yours....but hey, I can make/receive calls and texts, and access the internet when I'm way up the Osage, which apparently Seth and his friends can't, on the NFOW where others can't, and pretty much everywhere else. It's rugged and hasn't let me down yet. AND I can project Foghorn Leghorn cartoons (or porn) on my 30'x14' garage door to entertain the neighborhood. How POS is it NOW? 😊 I have no data use limits so WTF do I need WiFi turned on all the time for?
