  1. That question makes me miss Bo's posts.
  2. I really hope your correct!!! It scares me when its said that it changes fishing to hunting. It doesn't seem like you have to have as much equipment with FFS.
  3. I know we can't stop progress but what happens when everyone is a "Wheeler" ??
  4. WOW! I guess I'm wrong but it sounds like we're headed for a motorized version of fishing for trout at the boat show.
  5. I have a friend staying at my trailer and am coming down to fish together for a few days. Does that seem like a problem? we re in the same trailer.
  6. GREAT WOMAN! Bill great post,
  7. Pla-Port Resot Shell Knob (417) 858-6303 highly recommend!

  10. gee i thought it was MLB (Major League Baseball) and the strike zone.
  11. always have had good times at Pla-Port Resort. Darrell and Cheri have always been easy to work with and will do anything they can to help out. I also like the Shell Knob area of the lake. I think there prices are very good also.
  12. I would think the fish are deeper because the lake is dropping. They dropped it 2 inchs yesterday and 2 more today. there are other factors like you mentioned that do apply.
  13. Well it sure seems like making $100,000 today is about the same as my father earning $10,000 in 1965. That's just how it feels to me and I could be wrong.
  14. Not that my opinion matters but i can't take Zona because of seeing him play a bass like a guitar on his show.
  15. I like the owners they are good people. The rooms are good, dock is good, ramp is good. Lots of room for truck and boat. It's on a flat point so easy walk to the dock no big hills and you can park by the dock. If you keep the boat in the dock very easy places to drop the trailer. Maybe its just me but when i fish during the day i don't leave my boat in any resort dock overnight. But i would think that there dock would be one of the safest very well lighted and very visible. I do use the dock part of the time when i night fish.
  16. Who' s going you and a buddy or you and wife ?
  17. I like Pla-Port the best but Lunker Landing is good too. Hardman Hollow is good but not their ramp when i stay there i launch at 39 bridge but they have a very nice dock.
  18. none of the major brands make trailer tires except goodyear and for the most part there all made in China. Call Economy Tire & Muffler in Ozark they are good guys and know what there doing. Goodyear Marathon is a good tire but at the top of the price range. I haven't had good luck with Hi Run or Carlisle. I've had good luck with Tow Master and Gremax. The Gremax in 15" come in 8 ply and 10 ply. From the picture i could see yours is load range C (6 ply) so it is most likely 14".
  19. Have you read the article in BASS about big swim baits?
  20. I know you need to be careful posting because of the way it comes across. I did not mean any disrespect for Grumpy53 or GNSfishing. I'm 68 years old and semi-retired and a Army Vet (1967 to 1970). A funny thing is i've gotten many more "thanks for your service" in the last few years than any of the years I was in uniform. I started fishing Table Rock in 1964 when i was still in high school and would rather drive there than to stockton or truman. I haven't been able to fish much in the last 10 years because of to kids in college, weddings (omg did that blow through the savings) and now a new grandson.enough
  21. GNSfishing you act like i tricked someone so i guess my post wasn't clear i'll try again. I called the Kansas county and asked what if i pay the PP tax somewhere else and they said to provide a paid receipt and that will take care of it. This i have done for 10 YEARS with no problem maybe it is a loop hole in the law. So i took your post as only applying to me and not Grumpy53 even tho he is a Kansas resident wanting to register his boat in Missouri for which there is no real advantage other than the personal property tax. Please let me know what i'm doing wrong I don't want any trouble but I do feel i covered the bases.
  22. Personal Property Taxes in johnson county, Ks (Olathe) are out of sight. Tens yrs ago the PP taxes on my 2000 Triton were $750. I own land in Stone Cnty so i called and said I'd like to pay them the PP Tax. They asked where it was registered and I told them Ks. They said you usually pay PP Taxes where it"s registered. I just said could I pay PP Tax to you after a moments pause they we'll mail you the paper work and i've been paying ever sense. First bill was $183 I think its still about $170. I love fishing in Missouri so I wanted Missouri to get the money it wasn't about saving the money (LOL). I guess I could register it in Mo. but it's a problem when its home.
  23. I can't think of a nicer guy to send birthday wishes to and may you have many, many more. I don' post much because i haven't been to "THE ROCK" in three years but i will be there for the full moon for 3 nights. I hope i'll have something to talk about after that. I started fishing "THE ROCK" in high school in 1964 and have had many good days and nights there.I was back in the days of the Campbell Point lunker board.
  24. Man i'd say that is way way out of line comment fishinwrench. If i was you i would do the same as far as a boat is concerned. But to say anyone with a nice boat and takes care of it is an ELITE IDIOT is off the chart. Good Luck with your business i would never be a customer.
