  1. Dont overlook Garmin, They are Def. the front runners in the graph game these days. Ive had Lowrance, Humminbirds, and now Garmin. The Birds are easier to use than Lowrance for sure and have cleaner images. But at the end of the day they are all pretty darn good. Garmin has the best customer support
  2. All the time up the James arm in Table Rock
  3. ILL say last year i caught a lot more over 15" than any other year. I would also like it to go to 12" though. Those little guys are pretty tasty. Didnt they do a study and say that it takes 5-7 years for a spot to get to 15 and by that time they are getting close to the end of their life cycle
  4. These are awesome for small swim baits, short shank and very sharp. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VMC_Boxer_Jig_Head/descpage-VBJ.html
  5. You got it figured out, nice work. And as always great pics.
  6. I think the one he is using is the Motorguide Tour. IT is a traditional style motor. The Motor Guide Tour Pro is the one that hasnt been released yet that has the spot lock
  7. I love my LFS's, never have used the PQ. But ive been slowly changing over to Daiwa Tatulas. There are a ton of good reels in that $100 range. Only one i regret is a 13 fishing i got for $99. It would be better off in the bottom of the lake
  8. Well, my day and possibly the week is ruined now that i have to worry about this This is BBC lounge material
  9. I havent eaten a small mouth or largemouth since i was a little kid. But if i catch some 12" spots when im at Bull Shoals crappie fishing i will take some home. I put them in the same bags as crappie and no one ever knows the difference once they are fried up
  10. I will say one thing about scuba diving is that fish come to noise, they love coming in to see the racket we make.. We take rock and hit our tanks to bring them in at times... they dont stay long though
  11. I havent used and Ultrex but i was at Pomme fishing the other day and i could here a guys Ultrex constantly turning. I thought it was a bit loud if i could hear it 50 yards away
  12. Im a big Garmin fan but why on earth do all the wires coil around the head like that. It looks ridiculous
  13. New motorguide came out with all the others this year. Looks like you have to pre order it though. IT is fairly simplistic with the spot lock feature. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/MotorGuide_Tour_Pro_Trolling_Motor_HD_Sonar/descpage-MGTPS.html
  14. Yep that is exactly what happened, My last boat had a fancy motor that would turn off when stowed. With this one i purposely put the prop to the inside, the prop will now hit the boat if the button is hit. My dad is on blood thinners, so it was a total bloodbath at the launch ramp, and then he waited 12 hrs in the ER at Cox in Springfield
  15. Ive ran 80lb X3 for the last year and it has been great to me. Ive banged it all over docks and have had no issues except it almost cut m dads fingers off, but thats a whole other story
  16. Wanted to pass this along, If anyone has kids that were born in 2015 call guest services at Silver Dollar City and they will get free season passes to SDC and White Water. Its somthing to do with the SDC anniversary. But you have to call and get registered before Jan 2nd and then when you get there go to guest services and pick it up. We actually returned our boys pass we got and did this
  17. I plan to get a tournament jersey and enter every small club tournament i can.
  18. I would be able to come down for a day to fish. Maybe someone would want to go downstream and look for big green fish with me. I dont live to far so i would probably just go home in the evening
  19. I threw it for about 2 hours the other day and caught multiple fish and only had to slide the Keitech back up a couple times. Jury is still out on the keeper. I usually just glue keitchs from the start since they are so soft. I did have a few bass just plow through the middle of my a-rig and those little sharp hooks hooked them in the belly or sides
  20. Thought i would bring this thread back up if anyone is still interested. I ordered a whole bunch of these heads and they are perfect for 3.3 and 3.8 size swimbaits, and they are priced decent. Thy are very sharp https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/searchresults.html#search=products&searchtext=boxer&opt_page=1&opt_sort=alphaAtoZ&opt_perpage=20
  21. Decided to leave the big boat in the garage and take a buddys jon boat down to Springfield lake for a change. Caught a few on everything i threw, Crank, A-rig, Jerker. Once i found a pile of them the jerkbait bite was really good. Lost count of how many, lots on back to back casts. Nothing big, but lots of fun and numbers. The A-rig was working but you could feel them just come crashing through the middle of it, i hooked a couple in the belly. If they didnt get snagged they did seem to come back for it multiple times
  22. Nice fish, it looks like it is smiling
  23. Sold his boat last year and He's got a new little girl. Talked to him a week or so back and were planning on getting together up at Stockton this winter. He lives a few minutes from Masters ramp
  24. Haha your right, Im wrapping presents in the shop and maybe had a beer to many. But i do probably use my 1 7/8" a few days a year for my little 4 wheeler trailer
  25. Probably those prissy white males that only put the hitch on when they tow. Mine stays on 360 days a year, weather is the best loc tite known to man. They are better off just taking my whole dropper.
