Big and Small We Like 'Em All!

HAHA might trade it off to get somthing a little better for towing. IT tows the Tracker fine but this boat weighs a little more. The Jeep does make the boat look like a 21footer though -

With the water as clear as it is on Table Rock right now in the mid lake area, all the "We dont have enough bass" talk has totally left my mind. I spent 6 days there last week and the amount of fish i saw and caught was insane. Probably caught more keepers this week than i did all last year. I used to think it was full of small bass, but i had my eyes on more 3,4,5 pounders i could count. Look at tournament results this year. Weights are way up with more 5+ fish than ive seen since i started really getting into it 5 years or so ago. I just dont think the problem is a vast as everyone thinks. I even let a almost 3lber go yesterday because i didnt think he would make it in the live well for a weigh in. It swallowed a megabass jerker. And had two hooks in the tongue. Sometimes they have no chance, but i at least gave that one the chance. Would have won the little club tournament with that one but Oh well

Good news for everyone, the wind made it almost impossible to see bass on beds today. So i doubt very many got plucked and went for a boat ride. Most people i saw today were fishing deeper. We hammered them on Jerkbaits on in 25ft. Nothing over 3lbs, but they are full of fight right now

Got down to the lake about 9:00 water temp 65. Went to a pocket that i like and man there were beds everywhere. I could see beds from 2ft out to about 15. Lots of males on them with a few big females. Saw lots of females out cruising in the 10ft range. They are soooo close. With he water as clear as it is you can watch 3-5 lbers swiming around everywhere. I caught a couple on beds, i caught some out in 15ft on a swimbait and ned. Even caught some spooning docks with a big flutter spoon. Had a couple different times they cornered shad in the back of a cut and were going crazy on top. Lost a good one on a spook that was peeling out drag. Pretty fun time to be out, pretty much catch them how ever you want. I even saw a nice one on a bed that had a little tag sticking out of his back.

Took the ole man down today pretty much looking for whatever bites. At the Beaver ramp the water was 52 degrees. Went up Beaver almost to Kissie water was 62-65 degrees, trolled flicker shads and caught 1 little white. Started casting a rooster tail and caught 1 decent white. Pretty slow, we scrapped that plan and went back around Beaver and found some bedding bass. Caught a chunky spot nd two nice largemouth on a wacky rig throwing around beds

step on the pedal slide it forward and down into place. They arent very user friendly to deploy depending on your type of boat -

Any experience with Big Swim Baits on Table Rock
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to bferg's topic in Table Rock Lake
Speaking of the Rat wake bait. I picked up a Savage gear wake snake the other day. Havent fished it much yet but it looks deadly. The action is amazing. I threw it in the neighborhood pond a little bit just to see if i wasted $18 or not. -
Seems like its been a few years since i heard of a great white bass run up Beaver. Used to you would hear things on here or i would have buddies callling me telling me they are going good, but lately its just been quiet. 5 years ago you had to take a number to get into Beaver. Boats everywhere, people all over the bank with full stringers.

You probably will never go back to Table Rock. Bull Is a Gem. What area of the lake are you staying?
