  1. Ill ride up with Ketchup
  2. I agree, especially with the Vibric rooster tail, those are so good for whites
  3. Haha thats how it goes. And they may never school right there again for the year. Those little suckers never quit moving. I gave up chasing them unless its spring. Beaver creek on Bull Shoals is usually a pretty definite place to find them in spring
  4. I think on Table Rock the white bass are a total mystery to find except in the spring. Seems like they can show up just about anywhere and you can catch them in a hurry and then they are gone
  5. a couple years ago Cabelas had flickers for 2.99, so i had BPS price match them... They make it a pain in the butt, but i got a lot of them and saved a lot of money
  6. I guess a lure retriever doesnt work very well with a bottom bouncer. I got a new Daiwa Lure retriever that has a 45' leash and a crank on it. It works great when just running a straight crank
  7. Tie a piece of braid around it
  8. i hit them head on on 40 and skip over them...tried going 20-25 and it beat the hell out of me and the boat. faster was smoother
  9. I would have a raging headache and be pissed at the world if i had to ride around with Zona and take a pic with him at the end of the day.
  10. Im going Thursday or Friday maybe both. Ill be in a little red tracker if you guys see me out. I have to buy a couple new batteries tomorrow.
  11. Sounds like you have a nice rig, Posted a pic of our schedule, we are about done for the year but you should still come to one or both. It a pretty laid back group 6-12 boats. $25 entry fee if you fish alone or $50 for a team. And a $10 option big bass. He has a membership fee too, not sure how he will do that since we only got 2 left. Im sure Ketchup will chime in when he sees this.
  12. And That boat qualifies you for the Tin boats bass club. Next Tournament is Saturday at Stockton
  13. Thanks Jerry, illl everyone in on my secrete on Stockton, Banjo Minnow..............................
  14. Awesome day, makes me want to get back down there. Hopefully the water stays where it is so i can live down there this winter. Im sure we will cross paths eventually, i used to see you on upper Bull a lot a couple years ago when we had good water
  15. HAHA i think the gas is the issue, i never burn more the 5-7 gallons a day with the 2 stroke and i run the crap out of it. You would ave to drive all day non stop with the 60 to even burn 10, even with my new motor i have never burned more than 6-8. and i tend to put a lt of unnecessary mile on mine,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i say go down a pitch and you'll pop up on plane quicker but will lose a little top speed
  16. I traded my 60 4 stroke for a 75 Opti then had simon motorsports flash the computer to 115. It isnt a true 115 but that hull really came to life. They claim its Peak RPM is 6300 now. Im not gonna go there thought seems way to high. First thing i did was put some Chris Carson Sport reeds in it. Didnt want to risk it with all the horrible Optimax reed problems ive read about. My 24P 4 blade gets me about 5300. Its a fun little rig, i need to play a little more with props and get it dialed it. I just like being able to run 40mph at 4800 rpm's. Feels like i can really get somewhere.
  17. I think peak rpm in that motor is 6000. That's what mine would hit with the prop that came on my 08. I guessing yours must have a bigger prop than mine had. 37mph is really good for that set up. Most people don't see much more than 35
  18. I cant remember what mine came with, Mine never seemed like weight was an issue. That little 4 stroke would run the same speed no matter how i loaded it down.
  19. What pitch prop do you have on it. Mine would come up on plane just fine with two people 3 batteries and a full live well but i would only top out at 32-33. I think my prop was a 13
  20. Its a Jeep thang!!!!! I have been lucky over the years and never have had any of my jeeps broken into.
  21. Lefty baitcaster and righty spinning for me, I would rather let my dumb hand do the dumb work and my right hand control the fish
  22. Had one on Table rock in a tourney on a crank. Pretty heartbreaking to reel in two 14 1/2 inchers. I thought i had a giant
  23. I was on a striper guide trip on Beaver about 10 years ago and the guide told us they go to grand once a week to get shad. They had huge bait tanks set up at their place
  24. Ive seen some absolute monster Red Ear in Norfork when diving, they had to be pushing 3lb
  25. Went out this morning from 7:30-12:30, would have stayed longer but out of the 4 cranks i tried and the 3 i had trolling only one got bit and i lost it. Ended up with 3 nice keepers. a 18 3/4, 19 1/2, and a 22 1/4, and aso a short one mixed in. Started trolling at 1.7 mph and picked up one real quick, then my trolling batteries died after 1 hour, so i had to fire up the Opti. Trolled between 2.7 and 3.1 and picked up the other 2 keepers and the short. Kept the boat in 27-34 feet of water and my crank would just tick the bottom at 28ft. All fish were in a quarter mile stretch of each other, wish i could have stayed longer!!!!
