  1. Im still amazed that people keep trout to eat!
  2. I have both cheap and nice rods. I feel like my line makes the biggest difference in sensitivity. Braid with a leader on my spinners and Flouro on the casters. I have caught more fish this year on my $15 lews rod as i have my Falcon Caras. Maybe im just not good enough to know the difference. I like my high end stuff, but im slowly shying away from them.
  3. Mine are both 6'6" medium heavy and i would say they are more on the heavy side on the action. Yes there are very light. I casted a new Duckett the other day with a deep crank on and it shattered right in front of the reel seat. It is on its way back to Duckett. I think the price was marked wrong on mine because they had the same rod for 79.99. I dont feel to bad about it. I think walmart will be just fine
  4. I found two in a wal mart sale bin for 20 bucks a piece about three years ago. Since then i have broke Ducketts, Falcons, and replaced numerous guides on both of those. Mean while i cant break the vendetta, so ill have to say that the ones i have are good as it gets
  5. Looking forward to hearing how it works. Im wanting to get something like this for my dad
  6. I would guess 2 miles give or take a lil. There isnt any public ramps between those two
  7. I caught this one the other day on the James river. Not sure what kind it is but, he wasnt happy. He could about bend those claws around and get me
  8. I went through two packs of rage craws last saturday cause they were biting the pinchers off on the swim back to the boat.
  9. To me all those synthetic performance fabrics are so hot. IT hard to beat a good old fashion cotton t-shirt
  10. 6:00 to 2:00
  11. Yes sir, it is still on hope to see ya there
  12. I hear ya, just thought i would throw that out there. Plenty of fish in Stockton. I was at Bull over this weekend and almost forgot how peaceful it was. Maybe saw 20 boats all weekend on the water
  13. Just a thought, Bull shoals is about the same distance from Springfield to Stockton. It a awesome lake 1/8 the fishing pressure and it is full of smallies and Largemouth
  14. I would have done great if it wasnt for Crochet, I figured he was used to fishing muddy swamps and would be a good pick
  15. They say Treated lumber and aluminum is a big no no, Causes some kind of reaction in the aluminum. Im not convinced as mine is fine after 3 years. My dad has these plastic things that go around his wooden bunks and it is so slick that he hates them. When you load the boat and nose it up, if you let off the throttle before you hook the bow up it will slide right back down. His is glass though, it would probably work better with aluminum
  16. The real sad thing is after they are caught the fish get wasted by the authorities
  17. There are already more bass than all other game fish combined. Thats my opinion from scuba diving in TR and Bull. It would really blow some peoples minds if they ever went under for 20 min and seen how many bass there are and even how many keepers. Very rarely if you make a cast into a brush pile there wont be a few keepers in it. Getting them to bite is a different story. We may hit 10-15 brush piles before we run into a school of crappie, but the bass are just everywhere. Hopefully we will get some good visibility this summer and i can get some video to share with everyone
  18. Smorr offroad park in Seymour would be closer than those other parks you mentioned from Bull. http://www.smorr.net/....
  19. I went over it the other day and it looked like a good clean flow of water, I wouldn't think it to be dangerous, probably a root wad or two you way have to hike around
  20. Dang we almost made it through the month of May without this topic coming up.
  21. I caught a nice 3lb channel on saturday, He slammed my jig in about 10ft of water on a bluff. Kinda a heartbreaker when your in a tournament
  22. I caught one about 17 inches in Baxter last year
  23. I screwed the pooch on that one, My last pick didnt save so i had an empty E slot
