I wish I had graduated last in my class at Annapolis. Which would have meant that I got in. Same way with med school, law school, every engineering school and so on. This whole anti-intellectual anti-science anti education thing is totally disgusting and very telling regarding its adherents.

Those were the best watermelons back when I was a kid and mom worked around truckers that hauled produce, grain and what have you. The sweet corn was pretty good too.

Tongue weight on an aluminum boat will be less than 200 lbs. unless it is some kind of monster. New or used? How much do you want to spend? One of my goals in life that I doubt I will ever achieve is actually wearing out a decent boat/motor/trailer combo that's reasonably well taken care of.

We're far enough from Springfield that we didn't see them. Which this report reminds me of the news when they were looking for that missing plane out in the Pacific. "This just in: Still no plane" Haven't heard anything more about it for quite a while. Another one for the conspiracy theory thread I guess.

Regardless of how anyone feels about our military overall, there's a justifiable sense of pride in doing well in that arena. Flying jets - especially fighter jets - is reserved for smart fit guys. Who wouldn't be proud of someone who did that. I carried a rifle, a radio and mortar parts and pieces. They wouldn't let me actually talk on the radio or aim the mortar. Draw your own conclusions about what they thought about my potential.š

Correct. If there's a bigger longer lasting more important and fascinating conspiracy theory, I can't think what it might be. I used to have business interests in Sedalia, very close to Knob Noster where the B-2's are stationed. Saw them regularly. They're something to see and you just do not hear them coming at all. Impressive aircraft for sure.

When you had service and there wasn't a fish on. Still I know what you mean. Back then, whenever there was service, if the phone rang it got answered. Usually pretty calm. Then there was this one time when I was striper fishing on Beaver with friends and Johnny Morris wanted a meeting right now about a problem at Big Cedar. I bet you've taken a call or two like that. Not today though, hopefully.
